i mean the UNSC Infinity is a large enough ship surely it can launch sabres into space, i’d love another space battle, perhaps have a section in the campaign where you have a special jetpack with infinite fuel so you can float arond space and shoot things or you could get a sabre and fight there, and it would be cool to fight some air assault elites in space, perhaps spartan ops could include a mission where you have to lay siege to multiple covenant corvettes and you must team up and have some people in sabres holding off the enemy ships whilst 2 people jump ship with the jet pack and deploy a bomb, kinda like invasion assault and when a ship is destroyed you return to the frigate and move to the next ship etc. does anyone think this is a good idea? if 343 doesn’t implement this then the only thing we can do is make one in forge
I don’t think Sabres will be back in Halo 4 since MC is back. It’s still possible.

What? Why can’t they be back because of MC?

I’m thinking they will focus more on ground engagements. Also MC hates ships.

spartan ops then, spartan ops is gonna have to be amazing for it to work otherwise we may be better off doing co op campaign i think bringing the sabres into spartan ops would be a good idea, it would be great fun to shoot down seraphs covering the bomb team whilst they fight all the enemies on the deck till the bomb timer reaches zero. heck they could make it into a mini survival mode, after all the corvettes are destroyed you can finish the remaining enemies who get stronger and stronger the longer you last and once you die it’s over and then all your scores are calculated.

That would be the only place I would see sabres coming back. I still think its highly unlikely. Halo is just not know from ship battles in its games.
I’m putting my bets on their being at least one space battle in the campaign. Maybe a missions where you have to fly from Requiem to the Infinity fighting enemies on the way.
And of course the Infinity can house thousands of sabres. Have you seen the size of a frigate in comparison? Infinity can probably put a UNSC frigate in its hangars, it’s so big.
And, most definitely, will we have space missions in Spartan Ops. That’s assumed, that at least one, out of the fifty Spartan Ops missions, will be a space mission. I’m guessing there’ll be multiple space missions.

i hope so, that was my favourite part of the reach campaign , i know it’s something differrent from the ground shooting but isn’t that supposed to be the point in spartan ops? theres plenty of ground shooting in competitive games it would be a bonus to have it in spartan ops as well as some ground missions.
sabres weren’t that good I wanna see the swords

In Spartan Ops, we’ll probably have space missions, missions where you’re stranded on a Mammoth in the middle of the desert, missions on UNSC frigates, etc. There’s so much variety. It’ll be great!
And don’t worry, I don’t think they’ll remove space battles at all because they introduced it in Reach, I doubt they’d remove a feature that many enjoyed and gave the game a more futuristic feeling.

Agreed
I don’t see why not. Although this game I would like for it to be a little bit more than a re-skinned Banshee.
Hope so. Loved the Sabres in Reach.
Take a look at the E3 Reveal Trailer
Pause around 0:28, and you’ll see a small fighter fly by very quickly. I think this is hinting toward an upgraded, newer version of the Sabre for Halo 4.
Pause again at 0:45, and you’ll see this fighter (and multiple others) parked. This is a much better glimpse at it.
I think it’s safe to say that the Sabre or its counterpart will be in Halo 4.

the question is, can we ride in it? i loved long night of solice, the space dog fighting was done really well for a fps, i think if 343 do this then perhaps they can make a stand alone dog fighting game with the fighting mechanics from long night of solice it could be like a next gen starfox.
