*Will* H5 Have Sprint (not *should*)

Will 343 have sprint in Halo 5 MM?

I vote yes.

Are you asking whether it is confirmed to be there? Because if so, how are we supposed to know?

As for whether i think it should be there: NO!

Will it? Probably, unfortunately.
Should it? In my opinion (obviously), no.

It will, but not in all gametypes.

I feel like Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer will be split into two areas.

Arena MP: Classic Halo with gameplay with no sprint similar to Halo CE, 2 and 3.

Modern MP: Newer Halo gameplay with Sprint similar to Reach and Halo 4.

but moa that would just separate the community and proboly be a lot of arguing with one another.

Won’t be the first time its happened, won’t be the last.

We have Infinity and Legendary in Halo 4 right now.

How do you know? Is there any official word on this?

I think so. At least, I hope so

I think it will be.

I think it will. There are far worse things that have been added to Halo then Sprint. It will not be the end of everything if it returns. I have a feeling that there will be playlists with only base movement speed as well.

I don’t, just speculation on my part. Frankie’s wording makes me think that the multiplayer will be split up into two areas, Arena and Modern.

He kept saying that the Beta would offer a select slice of their Arena multiplayer.

Maybe I’m just looking too much into it.

I don’t care one way or the other. As far as I’m concerned it probably will, that’s just how shooters are these days so it’s kinda become common practice. Either way I think people just blow the entire sprint thing out of proportion for no reason most of the time.

even though i think you are right halo has never been a normal shooter things like not having sprint is what sets us apart from other shooters

sprint as we know it? I’d have to say no. However it is likely we’ll have a different variation of it. Perhaps something similar to Doom’s speed boost, or the popular idea that you start off at regular speed and as long as you don’t change direction you gradually pick up speed.

I like that idea as long as it doesn’t force you to drop your weapon. Than movement would just turn into the player moving then stopping every couple seconds.

Edit: I should clarify this wasn’t my idea, I just think its brilliant and the best possible way to implement sprint and not have it suck.

that sound a little awkward, so as long as you don’t change direction you go faster? what about minor direction changes?

I don’t see it that way if I’m honest, Halo is a little different because it had it’s own identity and that identity has slowly vanished over the years because either other games tried to mimic Halo’s formula or Halo tried to mimic their formula.

So I won’t say that Halo is really different anymore, but the fact that most if not all shooters have sprint in these days as a standard feature topped off with how most people have got used to it just says to me that they’re not going to remove it.

But to have a whole set of playlists with it and a different set without it would be a bad idea.

you’re right, what does almost everyone in this community want? halo going back to its roots…

the community is already split. people who like the cod “IMPROVEMENTS” play halo 4 whilst the rest got off halo. that counts as split accept its more like a 20% stayed on 4 while 80% left. (not actual statistics, just saying how low the halo 4 population is and how highly it is saturated with scrubs)
