will H5 have a "Choose your own adventure" campaig

For those that saw the commercials…
What was the point of having two versions where the events play out exactly the same but the roles are switched?
Will 343 lets us pick who ends up on top in the campaign?

And if this is how it will turn out… does this mean that 343 may lets us choose how the story plays out for HALO 6!?
Imagine, you will vote on how the story of the next game will be based on what campaign version you beat in H5.
Wouldn’t that be awesome?
That will surely bring a whole mess of people into the campaign.

the ending will be the same although the way of getting their may be different for each player.

In order to make a sequel the ending must be the same for all players (in terms of deaths etc)

It’s going to be like Halo 2. See what’s going on with Locke, then switch over to Chief.

hopefully some old arbiter play as well if we’re lucky <3

All the Halo commercial have told some part of the story so why is there a commercial where one event is shown in two different ways?
Time travel?

Yeah, but those trailers are clearly to serve some sort of symbolic or metaphoric purpose. Stuff like the Master Chief statue that says, “Duty and Honor above all” somehow being the only thing standing in a destroyed city, must be for dramatic effect. It’s just to show that two guys are on missions that will lead them to a conflict.

Because they show the story in a metaphorical way, depicting how each character sees the other. It wouldn’t make any sense for them to spoil the endings in the trailers would it? Nor would it make sense to have multiple endings because it would ruin the lore.

And not all Halo trailers have to do with the story. We Are ODST and Halo 4 Scanned had nothing to do with the plot.

Depicting how each character sees the situation doesnt mean that the same event has to play out twice.
That doesnt have to be the ending of the story.
Like i said in the OP, one ending will be chosen as the one that makes it to H6
And i said some part of the story. ODST showed us a view of what ODST are and 4 showed us some event that happened during that whole deal.

But not that im thinking about it H4 can be said to not show anything from the game since this didnt actually happened in the game, right?
So this is 343 yet again doing their own thing differently.

Or an ODST style, Locke is tracking Chief and at key stages we play as Chief to see what took place

There’s probably a way to read Halo 5’s campaign data and load up a campaign for Halo 6 based off of what you did in Halo 5, yet I doubt that will happen as it will be a lot harder for 343 and a lot more confusing for the Halo universe.

That would be terrible, OP, so no, I don’t think it would be awesome. Not like it’s going to happen in any case.

I would like to have a choice
