Will the FOTUS armor be exclusive to the halo 4 limited edition console or will it be released in a DLC pack later on?
343i has brought up the idea of releasing exclusive armor and such later on to the public as DLC, but we don’t know for sure what their plans are at this moment. We’ll just have to wait and see.
As far as we know, it is exclusive to the console owners, they’ve said in the past that they’re brainstorming ways to allow other players to get the exclusive content.
I like the armor being exclusive, i’m sure the people who spent $400 on the console would agree. If they release an armor dlc it should include new armor.
Look I’m not getting the console for the FOTUS armor… but it’d be totally unfair for those who did spend $400 and later see the exclusive as a DLC.
It should stay exclusive, besides Bungie kept the Legendary Flames exclusive to Legendary Edition owners. 343 should keep FOTUS exclusive to the Halo 4 Console owners.

This. I don’t care if people can’t afford it or anything like that. If people are paying THAT much then come on…leave it exclusive.
If people want it that bad, Ebay is your friend.
I can see 343i selling it much, much later on down the line personally.
If you pay 400 dollars for a console, you should be wanting the console and not upset you don’t have armor. Theres no hidden charge of 5 bucks for the armor, it’s a bonus.
They said the pre-order skins may be available further down the road.
This did not include FOTUS armor, the Light Rifle skin, the Unicorn and Prime emblems, the Assault Rifle skin, and the Recruit Prime skins since they come with the actual edition and not from the retailer.
I hope its not released as DLC, Console buyers deserve something for shelling out a load of money and for their collectors value. If people want it that badly just get the console.
Well, at least they could release the same armor with a different colored skin as a purchable download. I bought every limited/legendary halo game available, cba to buy a second Xbox just for it.
And just to let u know: the ‘unique’ armor I got in the limited edition is nothing more then a different skin applied to the normal recruit armor. So keep sh** fair
They said that the pre-order skins would be available at a later date. Meaning not the armor, I paid $400 for an xbox that came with it and the codes for Fotus are selling on ebay for like $150 for a reason, it’s exclusive. Cry about it if you want but I highly doubt they’ll release it , and if they do it’ll probably be right before halo 5 comes out.
Personly i want it because it looks cool i say down the line they should have a armor/weapon skin pack with the fotus and new Weapon Skins hope u agree
they DID unlock recon for everyone in halo 3…
but that game is 5 years old
I remember reading somewhere that both the Limited Edition and Limited Xbox360 Console content will remain exclusive. Which is the way it should be.
As for the pre-order skins from retail stores. It’s always possible that they may include those in future DLC.

Though the Recon armor in Halo 3 didn’t come with a $100-$400 purchase.

I am one of those players who did buy both and id like it to remain the way it is. yes i know players want them who didnt buy the LE console but thats part of the deal.
With the reach legendary edition the the regular flame armor effect did remain exclusive but they did give everyone that was on for the last Bungie day (which lasted for a week or two) the same armor effect just in a different color.
As a console owner I’d be pretty jacked if they released this Fotus armor. I bought the console because I wanted both the console itself AND the armor. So it was a win-win
But I paid almost $400 for my armor basically and 343 has said it is STRICTLY console exclusive. If they released it down the line ill be slapping them with a lawsuit for what I paid for the console and my proof will be 343 stating its console only exclusive and were not releasing it.
EDIT: let’s say I paid $150 for the armor instead.
