But I think it’s more a case of stabilising the fall.
People aren’t going to come back in decent numbers until we get a desync fix, an XP rank to grind, and a regular content schedule.
So it’s going to save Infinite by buying 343 more time.

ill say yes because i think forge will carry the load until season 3 at least. not saying it’s ideal, picture sisyphus with his boulder. it is an uphill battle for the rest of halo infinites run time. the engin switch will likely be a re release with another campaign and more content. im thinking ea’s star wars bf2 type of re launch. but for now forge is what we got to go on. better than nothing but no one will ever forget why the game is in this position in the first place. trust is very easy to loose and incredibly hard to regain.

I think Infinite has gone down the same path H5 took, but it gave us less stuff.
The population has basically plateaued out and, outside of a content update rivaling a Destiny 2 expansion, the players that are here are who are here

No unless there’s some kind of forge matchmaking but 343 has pretty much abandoned Infinite so I can’t see it going far.

Yeah I see forge giving it a curiosity spike at best then itll die down more. they dont even try to improve fix/redeem themselves if anything they are taking longer with things. no sign of fixing desync issues forge pushed back 2 month game bugs/desync issues feeling like they are progressively getting worse,
If it was released when it should have been. I.e. When Infinite released, yes. Now though? No far too late to save anything.

Where’s the “Maybe” button? Because it all depends on how quickly the playerbase at large adopts it and starts using LFGs and Custom Games in the absence of the CGB.
Personally, I’m still able to find matches in less than thirty seconds when playing open ranked. I’m not sure the struggles that other people are facing.
I really hope that a forge, community playlist is implemented and utilized shortly after forge is released because this community is going to create some absolute insane maps!
No it won’t.
It’s a collision to the Micro Transactions system.
No one is going to use those Advanced map design tools to make original maps. It’s too much work to balance those maps into an E-Sports clamber friendly play ground that 343 does. It’s a job. A 100k playing job.
None of the forge maps on MCC are actually playable for a real proper match.
Forge is just a social thing, for a crowd that is anti-social. Which is why it won’t work.
lol ive met forgers who love building but hate anyone playing their maps even if they are great at it they build for themselves and no one else
I remember the day that forge saved Halo 5 & the forge/customs PC port of 5 caused such a boom in popularity that it is still competing against Infinites player count even now.
Not all forge maps are trying to make it into the competitive arena. The main reason I’m looking forward to forge is that it hopefully won’t be too much longer to get some of the wacky mini games.

Oh how I miss the wacky minigames. Makes me want to re-download Guardians so that maybe, just maybe, I’ll be able to get a match in one of those.
Without a custom games browser no, am I supposed to find 10 people who play this game everyday?

6 months ago I’d have said yes, but I think it’s too late now.
I’m a huge halo fan and always have been and was really hopeful for infinite but I’ve lost hope now and I’m not even excited for forge to drop.
Infinite had huge potential and delivered on some aspects but the fact the game was released unfinished and still isn’t finished has ruined it and I don’t think it’ll ever reach that potential now

Literally nobody outside of the people who are Halo fans care. It’s terribly advertised and too late. They’ll see a spike and it’ll dip again. This game is dead. We all need to just stop posting in the forums at this point.

Lol what? HALO 5 forge didn’t do all that much for the population from what I remember. Is that true?
Back in Halo 3, there was Onslaught and Amplified that was created via forge and those maps worked wonders. There will surely be forge maps that will make it into the HCS map rotation for Infinite. Those people just won’t be being paid a salary.
