As you know already HALO WARS 2 HAS BEEN OUT A LONG TIME SO NO SPOILERS that Douglas was really hurt by Atriox and he wants some pay back, do you think in the next Halo game that he will be the one to beat Atriox or do you all agree it should be a Epic showdown between Master Chief, since Atriox killed his girl Cortana lol
He’s dead, any named character in 343’s games has an 80% chance of dying in a stupid context

It’s way too easy to be cynical about this. 343i might bring it up in the Infinite campaign DLC or they might not. It might be used in a book or comic or podcast or short video.

Douglas is still alive. He was on the mend in Halo Wars 2’s narrative after that incident. Though he probably will make a return in Halo Infinite.
Since there is detailed variant-concepts for the Mark IV in The Art of Halo Infinite, it is highly likely that we will have a season with a cinematic or even a mini-DLC where the UNSC Spirit of Fire gets involved in the events of Halo Infinite. And to showcase this, we will finally unlock the Mark IV as an Armor Core, with Spartan Douglas sporting a prosthetic limb.

Kat lost an arm to a Banshee Bomb.
Meanwhile Douglas got his shoulder crushed by Atriox. Imagine taking a can of beef, putting a solid object inside it, and then crushing the can with intense pressure. His flesh was definitely mangled and granted, Spartans have stronk bones and joints thanks to their augments; but they aren’t indestructible.
It is likely that he will have a prosthetic limb developed by Isabelle to match the aesthetics of the MJOLNIR Mark IV and also serve its function well.

It should definitely be Chief who kills Atriox.
They did quite a bit to set that up in game:
- He beats Chief in combat
- Atriox is why Cortanas dead
- He destroys the Infinity and kills all your friends inc possibly Halsey
- You proceed to kill his mentor and the majority of his chosen commanders
- Hes a massive hypocrite and a monster. He’s got no right judging Cortana after she saved the Galaxy on multiple occasions.
- Plus, my face being last thing you ever see…
I am curious about how he’s going to be reintroduced. We still really don’t know too much about him and what makes him tick.

Locke is 90% likely to be dead.
Captain Lasky however is only 20% chance of being dead. He got off of the UNSC Infinity and is likely somewhere on the Halo Ring and will either be a character seen in the Main Campaign starring Master Chief, a side-DLC Campaign as a prominent character, or in the Seasonal Cinematics as Spartan Laurette Agryna is searching for the UNSC Infinity and thus has finding key crewmembers on her objectives list.

Are you thinking of Locke? One of the Spartan Killer brothers had Locke’s helmet on their armor, but not Douglas’. My statement is that Douglas was alive as of Halo: Divine Wind.

If 343 can have the Didact accidentally compose himself and Cortana redeem herself from genocide with “sorry, forgot I was meant to be good for a moment” then I wouldn’t put it past them.
