This would really anger me because doubles has always been my favorite playlist and it finally will be implemented into Halo 4 but could be going away. Why not combine all objective gametypes into one playlist so there always can be doubles, snipers, and multiteam?

I love rocket race, but there’s no reason rocket race should be permanent if it has a low population.
There is limited space for playlists. Only the most popular or the most crucial should be permanent.

Although, if it has a large population then it will stay just as SWAT has.

Doubles is easily one of the most crucial, and if it only stays a week i’ll be gone for good. Rocket race is a fun party game. Doubles is a staple.
Despite being the most fun playlist in the game (to players such as myself), Team Doubles has always been something of a niche playlist that not everyone enjoys. Its population has never been abysmal, but also never stellar. I wouldn’t expect it to stay, myself. 343 Industries seems adamant on letting Oddball, Capture the Flag, and King of the Hill (though this one is down at the moment) have their own separate playlists, even though these have traditionally been blended into a Team Objective playlist. Those three playlists individually just can’t really hold population very well, and yet they’re never rotated out. I don’t think Team Doubles will stay with management like this. I would love it to, but I personally don’t see it.
Addendum: None of the “core” playlists should be rotated out at this point in the game’s life, anyways.
-Infinity Slayer > 4v4 (Infinity Slayer)
-Team Objective > 4v4 (Capture the Flag, King of the Hill, Oddball, Extraction)
-Rumble Pit > 8 (“vanilla” Slayer FFA, Regicide, FFA Oddball, FFA King of the Hill)
-Team Doubles > 2v2 (Infinity Double, “vanilla” Slayer Doubles)
-Team Swat > 4v4 (Swat)
-Team Snipers > 4v4 (Snipers)
-Infinity BTB > 8v8 (Infinity BTB, Dominion, Capture the Flag, Extraction)
-Living Dead > 10 (Flood)
-Ranked Team Slayer > 4v4 (Team Slayer Pro/MLG/whatever you want to call it - the game should have at least one baseline competitive playlist that’s genuinely competitive)
-Premium > 5v5 (DLC maps only with a variety of gametypes)
This is the arbitrary ten playlists. That said, I guarantee you that the game would be received much more warmly if these were the playlists available, instead of the current hoppers. 343 Industries could even still do their weekly rotation with this new selection (eleven is not pushing it), adding Action Sack worthy gametypes, such as Grifball. The bottom line to me is that the game is not even three months old yet - it should have a strong base of competitive and fun playlists - a big variety. The playerbase will only dwindle from here. Now is the time to put out all of the playlists you can for as long as you can. Something as simple as putting multiple gametypes in one playlist allows you to give us more variety while still adhering to your arbitrary ten. Please 343 Industries, heed this post and arrange your playlists in this fashion!
We need to stop accepting their maximum of 10 playlists. At 12-14 playlists they would be able to make way more people happy and still be able to sustain populations in each playlist. We need to demand more playlists.

343 only make dumb decisions so it will probably be a Weekly Playlist
