By “customisable” I mean
putting warthogs/vehicles in the background
putting weapons in the scene
putting turrets etc. in the scene
Leaving something at the scene (e;g: the jenkins cutscene, leave shades in the door etc.)
Leaving objects in the line of fire (forklift in Keyes/emils death cutscene in reach stops plasma fire from phantom and shields do not go down on spartan)
Activation during cutscenes (avoiding a loading point in the storm, destroying the AA gun then triggering it, causing a longsword to crash during the cutscene, and the Miranda to say “destroy that gun chief. We’re out of time”.)

Am I the only one confused by this? I opened this thinking it was going to be a thread about cut scenes using custom armor like Reach.
Reach worked like this, I don’t see why Halo 4 won’t. LOL, in LNoS I crashed my ship into the hangar and the cutscene still initiated. My destroyed ship blocked my new cutscene-me’s way.
Depends if the cutscenes are in engine, they have been in prior Halos so it’s probably going to be the case this time.
I hope so, I loved seeing the carnage I’ve created after a battle. On the other hand it can screw up your cutscenes lol.
That… is only scratching the surface of the art. The true gem of cutscene manipulation is the AI.
Stuff like this and this (not my videos) need to be possible again.
AI getting deleted from cutscenes or their deaths being prerequisites of cutscenes is downright disappointing.
Furthermore, consider the beginning of Keyes. There’s a raging AI battle going on and I don’t believe it’s the same every time. I’ve also heard that one of the Reach levels has this. We need to see more cutscenes like that.
In H2, cutscene manipulation involving AI is nearly non-existent. In fact, nearly all cutscene characters seem to be go-through-able. It’s mostly limited to friendly AI.
In H3, this is all I could manage to replicate from CE. This cutscene is unique since it doesn’t delete any AI that don’t spawn where it takes place. Also, the bipeds are physical. The only other cutscene I know of that has physical bipeds is the one before the Guilty Spark battle; I saw cutscene Arby’s shield get depleted once by an auto-turret.
