Will CQC weapons actually be good in FF?

I remember in the beta, weapons like shotguns and melee weapons were near useless considering the AI not only killed you in less than a seconds, but the AI also saw you coming from a mile away.

With that being said, do any of you think those types of weapons will have a good use in WZFF?

They will most likely be beyond useless, sad really, but if it is anything like the beta, then the increased HP and damage will cause the return of the Scorpion parades from req 6 and onward =)

Unless the FF AI are weaker in terms of damage output and hp then no.

There is a mode in firefight where the enemy captures bases and you have to defend themselves so I can see them being usefully there

For some reason the Scattershot really shines against the A.I. compared to the other cqc weapons.

^^^^ This, every weapon has its moment to be used. I hope you weren’t running around the map with a shotgun or a hammer.

Even with that mode, the AI will simply wreck you before you can do any damage. They AI would destroy you like Bastion destroys my team in Overwatch.

That’s why you have two slots for weapons, get a medium/long range weapon to attack from a safe distance and when there’s fewer enemies use your shotgun to clear the remaining in the base.
I haven’t played Overwatch, I didn’t get the reference sorry.

Maybe against enemies that rush.

Other than that… Not really.

SMG might be good against Grunts.

Needler and the tier 3 suppressor should do fine. I’m using my million 1/2 random weapon reqs personally.

Were you planning on rushing the base? Stay behind cover (or close to it) and shoot in bulk, one enemy at the time. The SMG worked wonders in the Beta for me.

Listen guy, even if they aren’t. You can always use them on grunts

Shotguning grunts in the face while your team does the hard work is a great way to relive stress.
