Probably, because she sounded bat–Yoink- insane at the end of the E3 2012 Stage Demo for Halo 4.
I believe somehow it will be revealed that she will gain meta-stability through either the Didact or Dr Halsey using forerunner tech to save her. Or she will go die and we will be on our own in 5.
Shoot, I thought she’d turn on Chief in Halo 1. Now her period is no longer a period, it’s an exclamation point! I believe she’ll turn on him at some point though.

But to answer your question, no I doubt Cortana would turn on Chief. Not out of some twisted “Human on AI” romance (Not that I don’t find Cortana attractive myself. roflmao), but given the fact that with her on the digital rag and some of the UNSC members of the Infinity probably not going to be too happy with that, they would ultimately depend on each other more than anyone else throughout the series.
It’s more probable that she would develop an apparent distaste towards humanity, though. Given the quotes we’ve seen in the A Hero Awakens vids and possibly some of her contemplating in Halo Legend’s Origins, I could see that to be a more likely idea.
She’s a smart AI, so you can’t force her to do anything. And besides, this is Cortana we’re talking about. She would never betray Chief.

That would be sourly disappointing. I want to see something that is not overdone, something ORIGINAL. I don’t know about you but if 343 did something like that I would not be buying another Halo game. I want to see Cortana lose her mind, I want to see Master Chief being manipulated into doing wrong against humankind because of a rampant Cortana, I want to see her get inside his MIND and MESS WITH HIM. I want to see tragedy, horror, I want to see the Master Chief experience a loss so great that it threatens his very sanity.

I doubt it, I bet she could possibly be reset in a way and have access to her old information or she could find out how by technology or possibly a loophole.Also, what if a Huragok fixes her?
Just throwin it out there, i think more people would be mad if she dies, goes full rampancy, cuz once you go full there is no coming back.

Like the above poster said in response to the person I quoted, the fans want something original, anything less will result in a Halo uprising the likes of which the gaming industry has never seen. It’ll be WORSE than Mass Effect 3, TRUST ME.

I would love to see John go rage mode on his comrades, even if it was just for them trying to dispose of Cortana if she became “Too dangerous”. It would be great to see him trust in Cortana’s supposedly infinite wisdom as a smart AI with all of the information she had gathered, let alone being made from Halsey’s brilliant mind, and do things that most would consider unimaginable for what they together believe to be the greater good. At least whatever Cortana could convince him to be the greater good with that rampant mind of her’s.
