Since 343 has established multiplayer as a simulation, wouldn’t Cortana be able to infiltrate it and do as she please like a hot blue agent Smith?
How do you even defend against that?

I like the possibilities. Cortana as a WZ boss. Would never happen… Cortana, take me to the next thread.
You don’t. You simply get locked in the simulation.
It’s a cool idea but I don’t see how you would integrate it into gameplay. If shes hacked the system it’s not like she’d appear as a boss and be defeatable, she’d shut it down or try to physically/mentally injure the involved spartans.
See this is why a take my Death Star everywhere, some crazy blue-bot wants to enslave the galaxy, BOOM! Gone. Problem solved, good job red army. Take that blue-bot!
This is an interesting premise. But like ThickestMoney93 said, how could you integrate her into gameplay?

She could just disable everyone’s HUD for a moment, which will add dynamic to the game. Cortana as a boss will not going to work well.

But I mean like, cortana is hell bent against the UNSC now, she would not just disable the HUD if she gained access to the program, do you get me?

Yeah, but Warzone is simulator after all, they are not actually fighting Warden Eternal. They pretend to be fighting Warden Eternal. Same thing could apply to Cortana, UNSC could simulate how it will be like to fighting Cortana.

Oh I understand you, I thought OP meant a scenario where cortana has actually hacked the simulation, and has compromised it. You mean a simulation of a hack of the simulation, that could work.
It would be better if one of Cortana’s minions (rogue AI) hacks the warzone simulation. Save Cortana for Halo 6, when Exuberant Witness beats her in a cat fight… a second time LMAO

True. But to do that, shes gotta find the infinity.
Wait, Bringing back Cortana as a villain was even stupider than I thought. As MS wanted to distance her somewhat from halo for use as Microsofts Siri. But now we’ve all got a rampant and evil AI in our xbones. She’d be more fun than “der werdern erternerl” in WZ, at least she looks nice.

Oh, she’ll find it alright.

What, you don’t like the Warden’s armored, hard light buttocks?
Acknowledge that your in a simulation.
And she would have god like powers.
Making the warden seem like a push over.
All the types of attacks she could come up with.
Release 10,000 sentinels and rain on the entire battle field.

Not necessarily, she was able to transmit herself across the galaxy with the guardians.
I doubt anyone would willingly enter hardware with something like that floating around. FireFight wouldn’t have a problem with a “canonical experience” then, but the rest of multiplayer wouldn’t make sense.
Ok what if cortana hacks into the simulation and replaces the fake ai with real ai and if you die you die for real

Make her into a suit where she can be destroyed. But that’s just a guess

It doesn’t have to. We can go back to the mindless mass-murdering of friendly Spartans. No one “really” questioned it as long as they were having fun, No?
