Will Chief gain blood bending powers?

To some this may seem like a silly question, but to others it might seem reasonable. John essentially had his evolution sped up by the Librarian, in Halo 4. Do you think he will gain blood bending style abilities similar to The Didact? Aside from surviving the composer, their has to be more to his abilities gained. So do you think he will? Would you want such a thing? I honestly think it would be cool to see a little teaser of him blood bending at the end of H5G. Force choke Palmer… to death.

Only that Didact doesn’t doesn’t grab people with his body. The armor is what creates the constraint field.

John might get some voices speaking on his head.

Blood bending… really?! :open_mouth: face palm

First… the Ur-Didact uses gravity constraint fields to manipulate the forces holding John unto surfaces of the planetary, or arificial, gravity fields.

So no John cannot get ‘blood bending’ as you so advertly put it…

What John could get from his apparant GEAs or influenced evolution, is assistance from his sub conscious ‘gift’, whether it is the Didact’s or something else? Heck he may do things out of character… to which like Chakas being ‘controlled’ by Forthencho…

I really can’t see that working in gameplay although picking up Grunts and throwing them at Jackal Snipers does sound a little fun.

Impossible.

Chief would totally be an Earth bender. His color pallet certainly seems to suggest so.

Though I guess he could metal bend the Didact’s armor and achieve the same results.

I’m taking this joke to seriously but now I really want to see Spartans blasting fire from their fingertips and hurling rocks at each other. Oh well there’s probably a fan fic for that somewhere.

Now I can’t stop thinking about which element should go with each Halo character. I’m gonna be up all night!

P.S Who can picture the opening with Blue team there instead?

The “force grab” or “blood bending” stuff has nothing to do with evolution or genetics or some hidden force in the universe.
It’s technology, called Constraint Fields.
Just gravity manipulation, built into the Didact’s armor.

Technically, yes, Chief could utilize a constraint field himself, just as any human or alien could. It won’t come from evolution.

Was there a reference from avatar in there somewhere?

> Was there a reference from avatar in there somewhere?

Most likely.

Well this is the most interesting discussion I’ve seen all month. For the sake of fun, I’m gonna say yes, John should have bloodbending abilities. But why stop there? Let’s give him adamantium claws and the Shoop Da Whoop laser.

When I read the title, I totally thought of this Katara VS Hama: Full Battle [HD] - YouTube On the topic you brought up, the only way Chief could get an enhancement like that is getting armor along the lines of the Didact. So he would have to get Forerunner or possibly ancient Human armor that could have the same kind of feature.

Only if there’s a full moon.

> Only if there’s a full moon.

Well Yakone and his sons didn’t need a full moon to Bloodbend.

Since when were there superpowers in Halo?

The librarian actually helped Chief obtain a higher power level. It’s only a matter of time until he goes super saiyan. His armor will turn completely gold like his visor, and he will kick a lot more -Yoink-!

Now I want this!
