Will Champions DLC armor work in Spartan Ops?

^Title.

Just a thought that popped into my head; I remember an incident several years back in Bioware’s RPG “Dragon Age:Origins” in which DLC armor and weapons were not compatible with some other DLC (namely the expansion, Awakening).

So, I’m feeling a little paranoid; I can’t shake the feeling that if I go into Spartan Ops wearing full Mark V, ODST, or Prefect armor, I’ll find my Spartan to be headless and naked. That would really suck, because I really enjoy playing Spartan Ops…

Of course it will work. All DLC armor works. They won’t release broken armor.

Huehuehuehue…

Open mouth, insert foot, I guess.

So now we know it’s broken. The question is whether or not 343’s gonna fix it.

Wow, you made a whole thread a week before the discovery that the new armors won’t work in Spartan Ops today.

Unfortunately, it looks like Mark V, ODST, Prefect, the new armor mods, and the weapon skins will not be compatible with Spartan Ops.

I wonder what happens when you head into Spartan Ops with Champions content. For example, what armor will you wear when you head into Spartan Ops with ODST? What happens to your weapons if you bring the newly skinned AR?

I’d guess it resets it to default. Recruit for armor and the unskinned version of whatever weapon.

I really hope 343i tries to make a quick fix, but bs angel didn’t say anything about it in the post she made confirming it. Dissapointing they said nothing about it until a couple hours before release.

They should have told us earlier, but personally for me, it’s not a very big deal as I wear different armor when I play Spartan Ops. I would have liked it if bs angel had told us earlier, but I understand that they’ve still got to keep their sales for the DLC high. However, we will likely see some angry people here on the forums tomorrow after they’ve found out that Mark V, ODST, and Prefect doesn’t work in Spartan Ops.

I’m kind of curious. If you were wearing Mark V armor with… let’s say, the Pioneer visor, Inner-plated legs, and outer-plated forearms, would they revert to their Recruit versions, too?

wheres this post where bs angel commented?

She posted the comment in this topic when someone mentioned they couldn’t use the tactical packages in Spartan OPs:
NEW TACTICAL PACKAGES GLITCHED IN SPOPS?

I guessed. As I said, there have been similar issues with DLC for other video games. This is one of those paranoid fears that I sincerely hope does not become reality; unfortunately, it seems it did.

I have some slight hope that BS Angel is somehow mistaken, and that the new Infinity armor at least works in Spartan Ops, if nothing else.

Man… I wanted to jump right into Spartan Ops to try out my new armor. If what BS Angel said is true, this means that Flood and Rumble Pit are my only other options; Rumble Pit isn’t that great at the moment as some of the Forge maps are too small for 8 player FFA, namely Simplex, Scythe, and Dispatch.
