Will buying reach NOW be worth it?

Since I just bought the xbox on november 2011 and also Halo Anniversary,I didn’t really buy halo:reach. But it’s now only 4 months from halo 4 and my friend wants me to buy reach to play custom gaming and forge world.

Problem is,I have anniversary playlist though, the 2nd question not included in the subject is,what happened to anniversary squad?I was enjoying the playlist so far until it was removed when i renewed my xbox live during america’s summer vacation(well,in singapore it’s just holidays though)

Please answer my questions,Don’t really need to answer my expectations, just need answers.Like a reporter wants answers

Buying Halo 3 would be a much better choice =)

I’ve just bought my second copy after playing Anniversary. Feels good to be getting back into Halo.

I borrowed halo 3 from my friend already, the campaign is 10x better then reach’s because of the scarabs

I can jump on some multiplayer on 3.But anniversary playlist is doing fine for me,I just need the questions answered.

Thanks for the replies though ^^

if your a fan of halo all together i recomend buying halo reach because it is part of the story it tells you what happend before halo combat evolved so if you want to start a very amazing series and go into the universe i say buy it and you will never regret make sure you also get halo 3 and halo 3 odst and halo 2 for windows so you can know the story it is best recomendation.

Actually,I am a fanboy so I know the story through walkthroughs and I have halo 1,2,CEA.currently playing 3’s campaign(just reached cortana level today ^-^)

I didn’t really read the books though.

Reach may be fun to tinker around with until H4 if you are bored with the Anniversary Maps. H3 multiplayer is better IMO.

Anniversary Squad was removed a few months ago due to low population/too many playlists.

*You can probably get Reach for around $10 it’s worth that for Firefight/campaign…

I played the anniversary maps for like, about 9 months already. You can never get tired of it,the sensation of playing halo 1 and 2,3 maps were really a great sensation.

For halo 3 multiplayer,I might jump on it soon for 1 or 2 games!(depends)

Good thing I have halo chess to tinker with too,I can play it with my friend!

You can stay around to chat,I will come and check back tomorrow  (singapore time zone lol)

You can probably get Reach pretty cheap now. So here’s what you do:

Find a cheap physical copy of Reach somewhere.
Buy the Noble and Defiant DLC.
Have an excellent experience until Halo 4 is released.

If you can get it for less than $20: yes.
If not: no.

This. But only buy the DLC if your friends got it, and go in with a party.

I would buy reach if you plan on playing halo 4 multiplayer. They run on the same engine so the games will be very simialr.

It also runs on the halo 3, 2 , and CE engine. Engine does not equal similar gameplay bro.

OT: Reach is one of those games you either love or hate, so really you just gotta try it yourself to find out

Whether it’s Halo 3 or Reach he purchases…It all depends on one thing. Will You believe You will have fun Playing the game? If yes, then that is the Only reason to purchase the or any game. You should Never buy or do anything because anyone wants you to do it, but instead because you Want to do it and because you will enjoy what you would get out of the action.

Halo Reach is good, but you either like it or hate it. The community is so divided upon the game that you can’t get a correct opinion on it. You just have to see for yourself because asking people if its worth buying isn’t going to get you anywhere.

If you want cheap, then go with Halo 3. Its still worth it and you can still enjoy yourself and the DLC is all cheap now that you can get it for under 800pts. Heck two of the DLC is free.

Do not waste your money on Reach. Worst Halo title to date.

Buy them all, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo Reach, Halo:CE, and Halo 4. It is always nice to have a verity of halo games rather then just one. I have all the games and its fun to go back to at least do the campaign…

You can get used copies REALLY cheap, I’d definitely buy one of them. And if possible, get a cheap new copy off amazon.co.uk. :stuck_out_tongue:
