I hope it’s more like Halo 3 where only weapons designed to take down veichles actually get their job.
Unlike in Reach where all the veichles are made of paper.
I hope they ballance them better too.

Same here.
I also want better vehicle dynamics, so if I build a loop, you can actually drive all the way around the loop, and do flips on ramps and such, at least in Custom games and forge.
people use vehicles in halo?
I woudn’t like to see Reach’s system. I’d prefer Halo 3’s.
Vehicles in Reach were close to perfect IMO.
Fragile but powerful.
Ironically, the above poster prefers Halo Reach while in this case I prefer Halo 2/3.
Oh well.
We are all Halo fans.
halo reach hog are lame !!!
halo 3 hogs way better…

Indeed. I played a game of BTB in Halo 3 recently and the vehicles were extremely irritating because only two weapons on the map could actually destroy them. The missile pod is joke since Banshees can just fly around the towers in Valhalla to avoid all eight of your missiles without so much as a scratch.
I hope not, in Reach, the laser was horrible underpowered, to balance out with the DMR & Sniper being able to wreck vehicles.
They need to bump the power back up on the vehicle destroying weapons and keep the guns for killing each other.

Yes.

IMO they need to be less powerful but stronger.
/less splash damage.

This is what I meant…
Just like the DMR, I don’t think BR should be that effective against vehicles. However, I do believe the Sniper rifle should still be strong against vehicles, if maybe to a slightly lesser degree. (Edit: Though not strong against every vehicle, only light vehicles. Heavy vehicles like the Scorpion and Wraith should only really be vulnerable to sniper fire at the canopy and the weak point at the rear of the vehicles.)
Most would consider the sniper rifle a power weapon, and while many just see it as an anti-infantry tool, there is no reason it shouldn’t be strong against vehicles as well. If the user feels like using a third to half of their ammo to take out a vehicle for 1 or 2 kills instead of going for the 4-6 players on foot, by all means let them. It may provide aid for the sniper’s teammates, alternatively a vehicle could draw an enemy sniper’s fire and save several teammates.

Agreed.
Actually, come to think of it, Reach had the vehicles down perfectly. I’m surprising
myself with saying that.
I’m not a big fan of vehicles and I never use them. However, when I am in a game where
the enemy decides to be banshee/tank a-holes, I like knowing that I stand a chance.
In Halo 3 you had to wait for a laser to spawn and IF you were lucky, you were the one
that got it and not some guy who was playing his first ever game of Halo.
Halo 3’s vehicles were perfect. I don’t want to see Reach’s plastic vehicles ever again.
i hope they keep it so that the sniper wrecks vehicles but not really any other wepons like the dmr/br
I think it should go further than that. The physics needs to be changed so that the BR cannot push a Warthog off its path.

and here.
