Will Black Ops 2 affect our game?

I’ve seen a lot of complaints about CoD players coming into Halo 4 and bringing the CoD playing style with them. People have been raging all over the forums about the lack of teamwork and the campyness of the game when playing with randoms, and I want to know what everyone thinks will happen when BO2 is released on Tuesday.

Do you think that the CoD players are actually affecting the game and when their game is released then they will defected to it and H4 will gravitate back toward the H3 play style?

Or do you think that everyone is just trying to find things to complain about and the CoD community is an easy scapegoat?

No, Halo 4 is quality while Call Of Duty is in it’s fifth generation of call of duty 4: modern warfail

Do you think the generic player realizes that?

Also, to be fair, Black Ops 2 is quite different than MW3

No, Halo has a strong and faithful fanbase. 343 made a good game so Halo fans will stick with this. Even if they do go to Black Ops 2, they’ll be back in a month or two as Call of Duty is only fun for that amount of time.

MW3 was the most played game for a year. Black Ops was the most played game for a year before MW3. 2 months is the amount of time Halo 4 has before it dies, just like Reach.

I was speaking more to the CoD fans that came over to try this game. There have been complaints about those players bringing a lot of bad player habits to the game and I am asking if when the new CoD is released will the players with those habits go back to CoD and will we see a more Halo like play styles start to develop.

If they don’t relies that, then they must be clearly blinded by a thick shroud of mist, and the changes are just to do with loadouts and playlist systems, thats it… Nothing else, they would rather spend their budget on a live action trailer and get Robert Downey Jr and FPSRussia in it to make it look like it’s the best game ever which clearly doesn’t appeal to me what so ever, it’s just desperate advertising for a dying saga

Halo 4 is Call of Duty.

I hope when CoD BlOps II comes out, CoD kids go out and actually play it, leaving Halo 4 as their filler game.

Hopefully we are still left with a healthy player base after that.

I’ve come from Gears of War, that games fans were abandoned. Trust me when I say, Halo 4 will be fine. The game is great.

I don’t agree with that one bit. Halo 4 is an entirely different entity than Reach. Sure there are still problems, but for the most part, in my opinion, Halo 4 is got a heck of a lot closer to a true halo experience tan Reach ever did. With that this game will vastly out live Reach.

The COD comparison is just a load of bollocks, seriously why would COD fans bother with Halo4 when they can go and play the game they prefer - mainly black ops 2 which is released very soon i believe.

I am sick of COD being mentioned all the time in these forums, it is pathetic.

If you want to compare games, compare Halo to Battlefield 3,
BF3 is a great game, and to be honest i wish Halo4 took more from that game.

How awesome would it be to have a gametype with big aerial battles, real teamwork and objectives.

Going from Reach to BF3 then back to Halo4 seems like a step down to me.
Dont get me wrong i am liking Halo4, but it is not on the epic WOW scale that BF3 offers.

We only make the comparisons because it is so blatantly obvious that 343 ripped so much of their game directly from the CoD franchise.

edit: need I list them?

I feel like that statement is being tossed around too much. Sure there are things like perks, kill cams, and other that are CoD like, but you have to realize that those things aren’t unique to the CoD series. It’s part of the development of FPSs no necessarily the CoD series.

When it come down to it the games run and different frame rates (CoD 60 & Halo 30), they have different play styles, they take different skill sets, and they have a VASTLY different community.

How and don’t mention the way it copies care packages, special ops, loadouts, perks and other ridiculous stuff for COD’s multiplayer I have already countered those arguments very well…

I don’t feel like you countered it all personally.

I don’t see how it would, most of the 12 year olds that play COD cannot swing enough allowance for both games.
