Will Armor Toggle Fix Default Undersuit?

I’m not here to start or join any arguments over the Halo Online armors. I’m just curious if the toggle being added will revert the default Halo 3 undersuit back to the original Halo 3 suit rather than the Halo 2 Anniversary one that its been changed to. Has 343i said anything anywhere or anyone able to comment on that?

Given the armor’s improper constraints around the shoulders and tiny feet, it’d be nice for those of us who want a fully classic experience to be able to just go back to vanilla Halo 3 with that.

It has not been mentioned. I really hope that they fix the MKVI legs and the OG shoulders without the need for toggle. I would like to mix and match the old with the new and not have the old shoulders have that metal piece stick out.

I hope so, and I hope they re-fix hit registration while they’re at it

> For -Yoinks!- sake. Just enjoy the game. How does your virtual character’s look make you play better?

It doesn’t, but frankly I’m playing the mcc for halo 3 mp nostalgia, and them adding assets from the games that killed the franchise just kills it for me. Halo was always pretty focused on “the rule of cool”. I’d rather just not play Halo if I’m going to be forced to swallow 343’s poor design choices. Halo had a standard of quality once upon a time. Not to mention it just seems downright disrespectful that they were added without a toggle instead of just waiting till the toggle works to implement them. This is just more corporate bs and the last straw for me after a decade of disappointment. Why bother with corpos who lack integrity or their -Yoink- nostalgia bait games. Imma go play Titanfall, -Yoink- 343’s Halo

That’s a lot of words for “number company bad”.

You are literally the reason there’s a toggle button, because nothing satisifies you if it isnt just nostalgia-bait. Just use the toggle and deal with it like everyone else. You’ll live.

It doesn’t. But I’d like for an identity to be preserved. Every time I see the armor in a Halo 3 environment, it bothers me seeing 2 unfitting styles meshing together. Even the customization screen is enough to see just how different and unfitting they are, minus some very, very few exceptions. They looked out of place in Halo Online and ElDewrito, they still look out of place in Halo 3. I wouldn’t have had a problem if it was added to Halo 4 or Halo 2 Anniversary.

But if the toggle doesn’t restore the original look of the game, is it fit for purpose?

The new player model is a conscious change to the original content. People who ask for it to be reverted aren’t asking for something new to be added. They don’t want 343 to create something brand new that has never existed before. They are asking what was there before to be restored.

If you are happy with the new look of the game, fantastic. Sincerely. I am glad you got what you wanted. Others are not happy, however, and so the toggle is being implemented so that everyone can customise the game to their liking. It is a good move on 343’s part, and I commend them for it. It is a best of both worlds scenario.

So why not finish the job, go all the way, and give those who use the toggle back the original Spartan model, feet, shoulders, textures and all?
