Whilst playing Reach earlier, I thought to myself “Hmm… I wonder if Armor Effects will be in Halo 4?”. I thought, and as far as I am aware, there hasn’t been any confirmation on this. Anyone know if they’ll be returning?
Personally, I’m not the biggest fan of the Armor Effects in Reach… (even though I do use them), and I wouldn’t be upset if they weren’t to return. And if they do return, I won’t be particularly displeased or happy about it. I’m pretty neutral, actually.

Not when most of the players in a game have it on. It gets re-he-heaaaaly annoying!
> The more options, the better. I’d welcome back armor effects. ‘Immersion’ in multiplayer be -Yoink!-, especially in this community.

I must admit, I chuckled a bit after reading this.

I never understood why people wanted to hear cheering when they died…

Just playing Devil’s Advocate here. But how does it wreck immersion? I can understand with the campaign, it’s story driven and you’d want to immerse yourself in it. But when you enter multiplayer you have an announcer narrating special kills, sprees, etc… It seems something of that style would fit into place in multiplayer especially with the option to have weapons skins and different armor options.

The announcer doesn’t make me feel like I’m not a bad -Yoink- super soldier. Timmy’s 8th birthday party on the other hand most certainly does.
It’s an accumulative effect I guess. There’s a line and flying hearts definitely crosses that line.
