I really enjoy the cinematic of spartan ops but the gameplay is really boring and not that exciting to me. So my question is how many of you guys will be getting spartan ops 2 when it comes out?
Also they really need to make spartan ops more fun instead of pushing buttons fighting the same elites with fuel rod cannons.
Is there even going to be a season 2?
If it’s 1600 MS points or less, yeah.
I doubt there will be a second season. Requiem has fallen into it’s star, so if they continue Spartan Ops, they’ll have to change the setting. No more Prometheans, unless the Covenant Remnant took them along when they left Requiem (kind of a longshot). The whole Janus key/Halsey situation can be continued in Halo 5 in another setting.
Also, one of the 343 people (can’t remember which) tweeted something to the effect of “Spartan Ops was a fun experiment” after the last episode dropped, implying that they were done with it and wouldn’t continue to do it.
Maybe that means they’ll bring back Firefight in H5.
I am in no way paying for it. As much as I LOVED the cinematics…the only episodes worth mentioning were 6 and 7 everything else was so bland and boring. It was a good attempt at something new but it lacked the “WOW” factor. The only time I had fun was when I entered the infinty to fight off the covies and prometheans besides that it was either push this button or push this other button over there…not fun at all.

This made me lol. I just started playing through and haven’t found it to be all that exciting. That sentence pretty much sums it up.
I enjoyed all of the episodes and would get season 2.

spartan ops is good, i think as it goes on it will get better. also if there was going to be no season 2 why would they bother calling whats out now ‘season 1’?

If its 800 points or less sure. If its been made for money than they would be able to make it better and not use the same environments over and over.Since they left Requiem the environments should be different
It also may mean no more Prometheans or at least no more teleporting Prometheans since I believe they were using a teleporting system similar to what was scene on Halo.
Maybe I’d buy a sequel film that was also a firefight map pack. The film could include three major battes and you could watch the film straight through or turn on a notification feature which would prompt you to play a firefight map under certain settings, and then you could actually participate in the battle, but I would expect that under those setting it be much more of an immersive experience then “walk though this canyon back and forth a couple of times.” I would want it to feel like I was actually participating in a real battle with plot or a true rescue operation. Then, obviously, it would be great that if without the Spartan Ops setting activated the maps would function more like firefight, where you could fight all hunters with hammers if you wanted and could control the lives per round and whatnot.
If it comes out I will get it but probably not enjoy.
I’ll just watch the videos just to see where the confusing story goes.
I really doubt a season two is in the works but it is, E3 would be good time to announce the DLC. I personally would pay no more than 1200MS points for season two because in all honesty, the CG movies were what kept Spartan Ops season one alive.

It hasn’t been confirmed that they will come out with spartan ops season two. Anyways, I would definitely get the second season even if I have to pay 2000 microsoft points for it.
They are actually sort of fun in a way…I just get tired of the slaughter at the ending of each one. I mean a challenge is fun, but an onslaught slaughter that turns into a battle of attrition, to see how many elites you can kill before you die again in a seemingly never ending wave of enemies just gets boring…
