Seriously though. The classic weapons for the past 5 games plus spinoffs should always come back. But the Warzone variety weapons I personally feel less connected to. They are strong, but not honestly unique. If they come back for/if Halo 6’s Warzone, then thats fine. If they make a new batch of types of weapons then thats fine too. If not come back at all, then all well with me.
I kinda hope not, I hope they keep it more focused. As fun as sand box stuff can be I hope warzone gets some more work and they take it more seriously this time around. It has a lot of potential.

I honestly hope not, maybe one different variation of each but every weapon had like 3 and it was overkill
Jesus Christ, I hope not.
If WZ comes back I don’t think I want all those crazy variations to come back for the sake of balance.
I hope not
not a fan of REQ variants, made everything very annoying (normal sniper VS super OP one-hit sniper with exploding shots, who will win) and throws skill out the window. please, only the default versions of weapons.
I’d say only keep the ones with the extremely noticeable changes like explosive rounds, adding a supercombine effect, or creating vortexes, and remove dumb upgrades like increased rate of fire, range, magazine/clip size, firing multiple projectiles at once, etc.
Also, give the ones that stay bigger differences in terms of looks other than color. Give players the feeling they’re picking up a better variant, rather than, “Oh, this gun has a red stripe on it, it must be better.” You could also add a brief description of the specific improvements of each variant whenever you pick it up, like Titanfall 2 does. All the guns look the same in Titanfall, so that particular addition was very helpful.
For customs games, absolutely. For warzone, maybe if there is a better unlocking system then the current system used in Halo 5 while making higher tiered weapons much harder to obtain. Perhaps a trade in option would be a good idea considering most players in warzone (or at least last time I jumped in it) have just about everything. A trade in would look something like this:
Have 10 railguns in your inventory you can trade in to get a single tier 2 railgun. If you have 30 railguns you can trade those in to get a single tier 3 railgun.
Perhaps with a system like this, OP weapons are less abundant in warzone and making teams with more skill win instead of spam like it currently is. This, of course, assumes that the req system in H5 is copy and pasted over to 6 which I hope will not be the case.
tbh I don’t even play warzone but I like having the variants for fiesta.
I hope not. I don’t really like having 3, 4, 5 etc. versions of every weapon, vehical etc. It’s pretty annoying I think and very unnecessary. I’d rather them have completely new weapons instead of the game having dozens of different variants.
