Honestly, I’ve been pretty respectful of most of 343i decision. I’ve never had a thread hating on them. But if they seriously plan on only releasing forge maps as the “free dlc” they promised us that is extremely disappointing and very misleading on their part. I don’t like forge maps, I never have. I understand the new forge is unbelievable but they don’t play as well as real maps. Does anybody know if they are going to make real maps with original art styles as part of the 18+ maps we were promised? I’m having a really bad feeling about this…
i have seen forge maps far superior to official maps… its not that you cant get really good forge maps…
but i do think that any maps released by the publisher should be publisher quality in both design and aesthetic…
forge maps can have the design but never the aesthetic…
its officially a lie that the req system is helping pay for DLC…

I’m trying to remain optimistic but I’m really starting to think they are gonna keep releasing bland forge maps 
They won’t all be forge, they’ll give us some maps calm dow, its only two weeks after launch.

I honestly think that with the impending release of Forge they’re using the tool to showcase the new forge and possibilities. Either way they’re free…soo…
imo, i think these forge maps for BTB are just to get the playlist out there while they continue working on original maps for the playlist due to the high number of people complaining at the fact BTB was left pout at launch and while doing so also showing off what the new forge will ave to offer when that is ready to launch
They don’t look as good, no. But can be tested and tweaked much more easily I’d imagine so should play better.
I can’t understand why we can’t adjust the skin of the pieces. Even just a few - UNSC, covenant, forerunner. Especially considering they put so much effort into lots of colour variants! Why not a few skins instead?!
Community maps are far better, if forge maps are only available lets hope Forge its self is ever updating, and an extreme quantity of forge templates. but I don’t see all the dlc as forge maps, for all we know this isn’t quite dlc compared to just a monthly update. its way to early to tell
That’s what I’m afraid of. I really hope they don’t go that route.

That would be a more reasonable argument if the game had shipped with a respectable number of original maps. Loving the gunplay - greatly unimpressed with MP map content (and blandness). There should be no need for forge maps until much later in the game’s lifecycle.
343 would do so well if they concentrated on providing forgers with more tools - campaign and AI scripting, lots of custom options, vehicle/weapon editer and really great looking forge pieces. Bring the best into playlists and maybe even campaign missions.
Let the community create and endless stream of content by focusing on this and building the game around it.
Theres a gap in the market based on creativity. It could become a very unique shooter that no other is attempting.
Halo had It’s day but things are changing and this could allow it to have it’s day once again.
No they won’t they already have concept art for fathom and the rig remix maps in sprint episode 4 and they look amazing. So no they will sill have original maps coming you have to give them time to finish them.
