I know a lot of people would disagree with a few of the features but refuse to return to halo 3 due to the lack of people that still play it. so do you think 343 will do a classic playlist for Halo 4? I personally like the new additions, but it would be nice to include the classic arcade style of gameplay back in some form.
This “Classic” gametype would include the following:
*No Sprint
*No Armour Abilities
*No Loudouts
*No Specialisations
*No Ordinance Drops
*No Weapon Indicators
*110% Increased walking speed (maybe unnecessary)
*110% Increased jump hight (maybe unnecessary)
*Players are only equipped with an Assault/Battle Rifle, Magnum, 2 frag grenades and a radar.
*More Weapons and grenades are placed along the map.
*Power-ups are also placed along the map.
*And finally, only used with 4v4 slayer and objective gametypes and small maps.
I don’t think the walking speed and jump height needs to be changed, to me it looks like 110% on both in reach, which is close to Halo 3 speed and jump height. And I don’t think they’ll remove sprint as it’s now a mapped button, it’ll be like removing the use of melee.
The maps are made with some of these new features in mind, like sprint default. Turing sprint off might make those maps play differently, change the pace of gameplay.

As much as I would love that, I doubt 343i would do it.
They’ve indicated that the new weapon spawn system was for the sake of balance, but I also feel they put it in place so they didn’t have to map out where they would set weapon/grenade pick-ups.
I can’t see them putting in extra effort for one playlist.

My thoughts exactly.
The game should be exactly like H4 just without AAs and perks, and have powerups as pickups.

Absolutely, you read my mind. Im tired of starting with the AR, and im constantly switching to magnum. Good call on that. However, since im not a big fan of the BR, i think that should be used instead of the DMR. DMR however is more useful for me, but i think there should be one gametype with only DMR’s, like the one in Reach.
