You think that 343 wants the more people that like them, the more people play, the better and more money. Well obviously not. They must be really oblivious to the fact that the free dlc update just pisses people off because its so pointless because 90% people Have no idea. Like HELLO MCFLY is anyone there. are they that ignorant that they’re not getting anywhere less and less people don’t want to play? Will they ever realize there waste of time I and come toand make it where the dlc is AUTOMATICALLY there for everyone. At the least have it notify us on the main menu or something?

Of course, people who still avidly play Halo 3/Reach/4 probably don’t play Halo 5, so they wouldn’t see it in the message of the day, and 99% of the playerbase doesn’t even know Waypoint exists, much less use it, so that’s a bust.
They need to update the message of the day in 3/Reach/4.
I think the biggest flop with free DLC is that they didn’t advertise that we got free DLC. As many of you know, not every player takes there time to do some research and think the DLC is still pay DLC. It would be great if the players got a Popup when starting the game that says that all map packs have been free and a download now option for those who haven’t downloaded it yet. However, the message should disappear when you have successfully downloaded all the map packs.
Do you think it’s possible to get that point across to thhave it just be an update for everyone AT LEAST notify people. I have literally sent out hundreds of messages letting people know. I mean like there was already an update for halo 4 on Xbox one since it became backwards compatible and that certanly wasn’t the update…

Almost certainly not.
My personal opinion is that 343 wants as little to do with the 360 games as they can get away with. I’ve asked for years for them to give Halo 3 some decent stat tracking and they never do it. It is zero surprise to me that they can’t be bothered to let everyone know their DLC is free. It would take a small amount of effort to put a message in the games alerting people to this, but apparently even that is far too difficult for them to accomplish. TBQH I’m shocked they even made the 360 games backwards compatible at all.
I do agree with you by the way. The way they’ve handled this free DLC is a joke. I honestly wonder why they even bothered, with all the good it’s gonna do anyone.
I would like for people to become more knowledgeable on this, It’s almost impossible to find players in Rumble Pit on Halo 3.
It’s kinda funny, I only found out about the free DLC because I was too dumb to find the Spartan Ops under the Inifinity Menu (I assumed it was just for multiplayer and such) so I thought maybe I had to download Spartan ops and I noticed all the free stuff
Make it required for the playlists. Problem solved. Updates are very small.
Well I have litteraly sent over 100 people about it. Keep making this thread bigger and bigger tell more your players to word on this. Hopefully there’s still hope but you don’t know till you try

It’s always better to have them free unlike not having them free as it opens up more opportunities for the community to take advantage of the maps.

This is the solution. Two DLC playlists (big team and small team) with a message indicating said maps are free would allow those of us who want to play them a great opportunity to while still preserving the original map rotation of the existing playlists.
I do agree with the fact that 343 should at least notify us somehow about dlc’s and such on halo 4 but it’s really not that hard to find all of the dlc’s lol just go to the market place (halo 4) and you’ll find all different types of stuff

Well I’ve been trying to get players I know onto Waypoint so they can find out all about this stuff, I’m surprised how many haven’t even been on here!
