I just want your honest opinion. Don’t let this topic turn into a population thread(even though population will be a big factor in this thread). Do you think with the amount of people left playing this game and the amount of people that buy DLC that it’s worth it for 343 to make anymore DLC? Even with the Map Pass given to all LE players I rarely see DLC in normal playlists. I just don’t see paid DLC being profitable enough for 343 to want to continue making DLC for this game. What are your thoughts? Do you think we will see more paid DLC? Free DLC?
Definitely, they’ve given us these 3 too quickly. If the game is going to last the two years (hopefully) until Halo 5 they’ll need to. Fingers crossed for some remakes

Exactly, if 343 has released 3 new map packs already, who knows what they have in store…
That’s what I thought because this game has to last several years so let’s hope for the best.
Oh I hope so. We veterans deserve some remakes I think.
I personally don’t see the point in buying the DLC where current Halo 4 is
Crimson brought us two BTB maps and a “4v4” map,
but BTB is Terribly unbalanced in Halo 4, Vehicle having no meaning, and Noob players prospering
and the “4v4” map is too damn big for 4v4
Majestic brought us some close quarters Maps,
good, but i’m not really too fond with 4v4
i’m a vehicle guy
Castle will bring us 3 shmexy BTB maps,
but like i stated earlier, BTB is broken in its current state
And Coupled by the fact that i may probably never play the DLC’s on a steady basis, due to the fact that everyone want to play on the pre-existing ones (i’m looking at you, Exile)

I just wish more people played Majestic, I love those maps. Skyline is probably one of my favourite Halo maps
OT again: If they release remakes perhaps they will come along with Halo 2 Anniversary. As far as the current DLC goes I hope when they fix the core gameplay Majestic will pop back up.

CoD players and Halo players are two very different types of people now adays. All my old friends that play CoD now just flat out WON’T play Halo. CoD is tooooo easy and they are terrible at Halo. CoD ruins everything when it comes to modern era FPS games.
It was either the last bulletin or two bulletins ago, but Frankie said that they have plans and are currently working on stuff to support Halo 4 after the Castle map pack. So it’s a good bet we will get a 4th map pack
A coupleof months back,I woudl have said yes…even made threads about it.
Now they lack the customer/player online base in War Games to even warrant them considering it seriously.
Maybe…I’m not convinced either way. Certainly the population may affect the decision, but we may see a new map pack if Halo 2 Anniversary is made.

For the love of mother -Yoinking!- god! DON’T REMAKE ANYMORE MAPS!!! I’m so sick of paying for old Halo maps!!
I’d pay for more remakes, just not more Halo 3 remakes. If I wanted to play Valhalla I’d put Halo 3 in… I want Containment, Waterworks, Blood Gulch, Chiron-TL34, Boarding action, Warlock, Turf and so many more.
Honestly, lets balance the game itself before we release a -Yoink- ton of maps…oh wait we’ve done that all ready. (Throws hands in the air) Whatever, just release the maps and we can balance the game whenever.

343 made all the on disk maps aside from the forge environments. 343 also made the Crimson Map Pack and Forge Island. CA did Majestic and the upcoming Castle Maps. So CA did 6 maps and 3 forge environments and 343 did 13 maps and 1 forge environment.
So that means:
343 Industries 14 maps
Certain Affinity 9 maps.
I would say they both make maps.

Certain Affinity made Castle, not 343i.
The Crimson Map Pack was actually made by a company called Digital Extremes.

We intend to support Halo 4 through Matchmaking, events, essential fixes and playlist design for a long time to come - and while there are no announced map packs after Castle releases later this spring, we have some cool ideas about future content and support that we’re tinkering with right now.
