From 2009 and onwards we have had a new halo game every year, so i was wondering whether 343 will be continuing this and will there be a game released in 2013.
We havn’t heard any info but there have been rumours of a new game coming out this year but we have also heard rumours of a new xbox console being released in the near future, so will there be a halo game released with the new console.
There are many potential settings for a small game to be made in to bridge the real life time gap between halo 4 and 5 and existing titles that could be extended, such as; a second ODST game, Halo wars 2, halo 2/3 anniversary or a halo trilogy HD collection, and i’m sure many people have good ideas for what a new game could include.
This idea can either be seen as benefitial for the halo franchise or it could be seen to have a bad effect, however it does allow for some new features to be tested out.
Or 343 could just focus on the development of Halo 5, however Microsoft will want a halo title to lauch quite soon after the release of the new console in order to attract people to the halo universe and to generate revenue and maximise profits.
What are your thoughts?

I think 343 and Microsoft will do what Bungie did with Halo.
I don’t see and I hope they don’t make main story Halo games every year, because it would just turn Halo into COD, Madden, etc . .
A main story Halo game every 2 to 3 years, with games like Halo Wars and Halo 3 ODST in between would be the best way to release Halo games I think.

i agree i think this is best, but with 343 being a relatively new studio, with a limited number of employees but is this strategy of releasing games regularly too much for 343 to actually do.

343 has/had more people then Bungie every had.
Bungie could have about the same amount of people now, because of their deal with Activision.
