With the Halo Master Chief Collection having a huge success on PC, Xbox Series X and Xbox One, will we see 343 Industries consider doing another season in the game?
Most likely not, but that doesn’t mean more content and features are not on the way. We will have to see how the MCC team evaluates their release model for next year.
Another full on season, no.
Content will keep coming to MCC throughout 2022, just in smaller packages. It’s not the end of the road for MCC just yet.
with the amount of cosmetic content from this year still unreleased, they might stay true to a season pass for two more 50 tier “seasons”. however they would likely only be 50 tiers and exclusively for those unreleased cosmetics; any gameplay content such as maps, weapons/vehicles/forge content, QoL improvements, bug fixes, etc. will likely be released when the team is satisfied it’s ready.

You mentioned the weapons, maps, vehicles and improvements. I think it’s very likely that they will appeared in the next Halo Master Chief Collection updates in 2022. I will say they will come out either on April 2022 or May 2022. This can give 343 Industries plenty of time to prepare for the next updates in the Halo Master Chief Collection.

Odds are against another season. Support and updates will still happen to MCC but they don’t want to need to be tied to a season. Not to mention we all know the population of MCC will plummet once Infinite drops and odds are not to many come back.

Initially up to 10 seasons were planned, but that changed a few weeks ago. There will be no more content released in the seasonal format, instead smaller updates will be released next year as and when they are ready. Seasons finished as of Season 8
