Wildly inconsistent vehicle collisions

Does anyone else think vehicle interactions (splatter, boarding) need a lot of work? Minutes ago I hit it dude going top speed in a ghost, he lived, then seconds later I nicked a dude while hardly moving and he died. Then, in the same match, I was boarded in a banshee while moving at cruising speed (i.e. not boosting) by a guy who basically teleported onto my banshee. I’ve watched the video several times and it still doesn’t make sense. I’ve been killed so many times by banshees moving much slower than I was, something needs tweaking.
