Wildlife In Halo

Would you like to see wildlife in a halo game. Not just birds and stuff, but actual animals that could be considered a considerably dangerous and hostile enemy to not just you but any being that crosses its path. If so, pitch an idea of the kind of design you’d like to see for the wildlife

I feel like this was a thing in Reach. Couldn’t the Moa do damage to players? Also there were those giant beasts in one of the missions I think.

In Campaign, sure. I’d get many laughs luring Covenant into the paths of these beasts and watching them get killed.

Nah the Moa just kinda ran around like a bunch of dipsticks. But yes there were those massive monsters in the night op mission. Thats kinda the inspiration for this post

Fun fact! In Halo CE’s E3 2000 trailer, there was suppose to be wildlife in the game hinted in the E3 trailer.

I can see you.And you too.

Pretty sure this thing would scare a lot of people.

Go look at SPV3 for Halo CE.

The Gúta. I remember actually being more scraed of them than the flood in Halo CE.
OT: Would like to see a return of them sure but it has to feel organic, just like it was in all of the Halo games.

I have always wanted Halo to incorporate wildlife in the games. In a universe of possibilities, we’ve been fighting the same old Covenant for 15 years and when 343 decided to introduce a brand new faction of enemies, they went for space robots! Lore and the “boohoo they are composed humans” be -Yoink!-. Gears of War is always shaking up their huge roster of enemies and it’s about time Halo did so, too. It’s time for Halo to step out of its comfort zone, at least when it comes to their campaign formula.

The possibilities the inclusion of wildlife may harbour is incredible (look at Metroid Prime).

I completely forgot about them. I wouldn’t mind if we had some big creatures in a future game.

Thanks for the nightmares, bruh.

Anyway to the OP, yes, I’ve long thought it could be cool. It was always supposed to be a part of Bungie’s Halos and kept not quite making the cut fully. Plus, there are massive possibilities. They could make up alien wildlife, revive some of Bungie’s scrapped creature concepts, and since the Forerunners catalogued species for repopulation I’m pretty sure there are literally dinosaurs that should be preserved on Forerunner installations.

Spartans vs T-Rex. I think yes :joy:

Blind Wolves are an animal that keep re-appearing in the Haloverse but still haven’t appear in an official game yet. They were the weird creatures in the original CE game play as well as an alien type described in Hunters in the Dark. They also appeared in Halo CE: SPV3 but once again that isn’t official.
The Gúta was definitely a cool (and scary the first time I played it) addition to Halo Reach, but it didn’t really have enough presence for it to be an extremely memorable one. We’ve also seen the Quadwings in various games but you couldn’t interact with them.

All in all, there are plenty of creatures in the Halo Universe, I don’t see they we shouldn’t mix it up a little and add interactive creatures to world. It’d be quite cool and a fun addition that a lot of sci-fi universes leave out.
