I thought it was really cool in Reach where you could fight the Gúta or kill Moa if you wanted to. My dudes, even in older Halo games you could snipe some birds out of the sky if you felt like it. I know I wasted an entire beam rifle in Halo 2 watching birds explode. I wouldn’t hate to see that in a coming Halo game, I actually was kinda disappointed I couldn’t even shoot the creatures flying around in the Halo 5 campaign. It’s not like a huge gameplay thing, but I always thought it was pretty dope in previous Halos that you could interact with wildlife.

I am sorry Palmer, but it the game didn’t punish us for our nonsense with this! Include all wildlife! Bang! Bang! Shoot! Bwaaaaaaaaaaaah! I would love that there would be wildlife you can… interact with. I would wonder what animals the Forerunners have preserved though. Maybe we can ride them :)?
You can squash & shoot the beetles crawling around on Genesis. I’ve honestly never tried to shoot the flying things.
