Wifi Blocking Access To Halo

I’m getting really annoyed, does anyone know what is going on?

All Halo titles were working perfectly. 3 days ago though, if I play MCC, the season doesn’t load, my progress bar for rankings doesn’t load, and when I try to connect to matchmaking, I get a box saying, “Trying to Contact Halo Servers”. When I play Halo 5, an error message comes up straight away saying “Could not connect to matchmaking lobby”. Finally, when I try to access halo waypoint website, it doesn’t connect, almost as if something is blocking access to anything with the word Halo in it. This all happens when I am connected to my WiFi (my wifi isn’t done through underground wires, I have a router which uses 4G/LTE connection).

The only fix I have is using my mobile data and tethering my Xbox to my phone. However, the connection is then much weaker and it cannot handle Halo & an Xbox live party, and it’s a massive nuisance!

So in the last 3 days, something about halo is disagreeing big time with my wifi router. I have been in to my router settings, removed all firewalls & input port forwarding, and nothing has worked. I have looked online, I am not the only person who has this problem, but no one seems to have a solution.

If any of you guys know what’s causing this, I’d appreciate your thoughts, cos I’m sick of not being able to play!

It sounds like it could be an ISP issue. Talk to your ISP about unblocking Halo ports. You can also try using ethernet connection if you’re not already!

Thanks Ka Five. My ISP have finally sorted it after chasing them 4 times to remove all filters.
