So in Halo legends it shows Fal 'Chavamee fighting three massive Hunters, two Ghosts, and a Wraith with two energy swords. What would be really awesome is if 343 could bring back dual weapon wielding so that you could wield two energy swords instead of one. What do you guys think?

Sounds insanely overpowered! They would have to find something to balance it, but I think it would be super cool!
I’d love that for campaign. Would be cool to have a section of the campaign where you can wield sword after sword and just mow enemy waves down.

Maybe for campaign, but the energy sword in matchmaking already gives you a lunge and one hit kill.
Two swords would be cool but kinda pointless cosidering its a one hit kill already.
I never understood the point of that, plus there’s usually only one sword per map…

Overpowered? Halo has a history of thigs being over powered. I think it would make a great edition to some special mode that uses swords. Or maybe it could be something for infection. Either way its still just swords, you can see them coming unlike the bane in 5.

It could be a cool idea for infection. No sword lunge but swings faster than a single sword, I could work with that.
To me, it would only really work aesthetically. Technically, having 2 swords that blind your TV, it wouldn’t really work. Yes, wielding 2 swords, especially Energy Swords, is badass, but not everything that’s cool works just as it’s beauty.
Oh, but let’s not forget. It’s Fal. The best and most skilled Arbiter who fought against a Covenant army by himself using only those 2 swords and came out unscathed… AND THAT IS CANON. For all I know, not even Chief, Fred or Six could pull off such improbable result.

I think that scene is one of the coolest things about Halo canon. So over the top and yet believable.

Funny how just about everyone started keying in on MP.
I think this would be pretty fun in campaign.
I could imagine going into a special section where this is possible, maybe even kicking you into 3rd person mode and going on a rampage or something.

yeah, not to mention twice the energy capacity and the minor speed boost they give in 4 and 5. might as well have an energy sword with double speed and energy

That sounds YOINK-ing amazing! I would love to do that…just imagine, just slicing your way to Cortana, mowing down Promethians and Covies with two swords, on a Spartan Rage induced bloodbath.

I could handle that, though I laughed about how way you described it.
I was with the idea and then started laughing at the fact our screen would be blocked by the swords.
I love these kind of ideas, and I genuinely believe that reaching for these “outlandish” concepts will do a lot of good for Halo - much like when Shi Kai Wang recieved a suggestion for the covenant to have “more colour” and thought it was silly.

I totally agree here this would be a sick campaign feature. And 3rd person rampage would be phenomenal. It could maybe even negate any blocking if it was used like a legendary req in MP. But even more than this I would love to see those blood red swords from headhunters in a game or even the sick old-school metal half swords seen in h5g. The more swords the merrier.
