Why is there so much criticism based on 20 seconds of gameplay. Sure I was a little disappointed when I saw sprint, but they could make it work by adding stopping power or making it a pickup only or something like that. Apart from being dissappointed with Sprint, I thought from what we saw in the ViDoc that Halo 4 looks very promising. Yet I come onto the forums and see atleast 10 threads -Yoinking!- and complaining about 20 seconds of gameplay. We know almost nothing about the gameplay, maps, weapons, etc. and people are already labelling it as a bad game.
They are afraid of change.
Did you just say… “Stopping Power”?
> Did you just say… “Stopping Power”?
I think he did
> Did you just say… “Stopping Power”?
As in if someone is sprinting at you like a total -Yoink- trying to get a double melee, you can simply shoot them and slow their movement speed drastically. It would not happen if you are not sprinting.
Their afraid they be sidelined by new players coming over to halo who might actually be better than them selves
> Their afraid they be sidelined by new players coming over to halo who might actually be better than them selves
Haha that made me laugh…Because its true.
because in the 10 seconds of gameplay I have already seen 2 instances in which sprint is used in a way, that i don’t think should in a Halo game (sprint/beatdown)
> Did you just say… “Stopping Power”?
Yes. I feel your pain.
They even said they were bringing that classic Halo2/3 feel, but with some new additions, yet people are saying “OMG I WANT A HALO 3 WITH UPDATED GRAPHICS”. I loved halo 3, but that is total nonsense and then halo would be categorized as being like CoD and just Yoinking! out the same games every 6 months.
BECAUSE We have to be heard, that it is unwanted, and not core halo.
> Their afraid they be sidelined by new players coming over to halo who might actually be better than them selves
Yes very powerful words indeed there coming from the level 36. I like how people say that we can’t adapt or w/e, the truth is the competetive players can adapt better then the casuals, we just reckognize bad game mechanics. It has nothing to do with being afraid of people who might be better because frankly almost all good people are anti-sprint.
I used to play level 50 MLG in Halo 3 and loved the competitive feel and flow of the game, and I agree that sprint could be detrimental to the core halo feel, but the community really has absolutely 0 faith in 343 and its kind of sad.

show me the statistics and I’ll believe. Sprint makes the game faster and more competitive , because it requires more skill. Plus you have no right to say you think the game sucks when you haven’t even played it. It makes you sound ignorant when you do.

Where did I say the game sucks? I said sprint is a bad game mechanic in a halo game. And there was a thread a couple of days ago, actually proving the pro-sprint people being less skilled then the anti-sprint people.

Sprint does not make the game faster nor does it require more skill to use. Don’t believe me? refer to the 342304933520 of threads about sprint on these forums.

I dont want the statistics of the halo Forum community, i want a majority of Halo players in the world, and link…

This makes no sense? ever heard of extrapolation. There was a sample of people in favor of sprint and those against sprint, and the reflection in the BPR and K/Ds of the anti sprint players was much higher. I agree this isn’t a perfect method by any means, but it gives you a rough idea.

“sprint make the game faster and more competitive, because it requires more skill”
Lol, you saying it takes more skill doesn’t make it true. You have no good argument for that statement, yet there are tons of threads with very long arguments as to why it isn’t competitive and doesn’t take skill. Have you read any of them?
Give me a good argument as to why it takes skill and is competitive, please.

ok let me break down, i want statistics from people who never get on this site too. It is biased information if you get it all on a forum about halo.
