Okay, so in the December update we got a classic BR scope for warzone, which basically made it the other Halo BRs. The only thing that’s different between this one, and the Halo 2 one is the design and reticle (which is hardly different). I am ridiculously confused at 343i’s decision to add the Halo 2 BR in place of LITERALLY anything else (come onnn, Magnum REQ attatchments, ie: silencer, long barrel, etc.). I could understand if it was like the SPNKR Rocket launcher, which actually reloads slower, and shoots faster (not to mention the DRASTIC change in design for the H5 rocket), or the Halo: CE Magnum, since it’s a 3 shot kill instead of 5, but adding the Halo 2 BR is odd, since it’s got pretty much the same everything except for like, magazine sizes. I don’t understand people wanting to waste unique weapons and stuff on things that don’t need to be in the game because they’re pretty much still there. I’ve seen a ton of posts about adding the Halo: CE AR, too and I just get confused. The only thing that I really really really wanna see right now is the Halo 5 magnum getting loadout REQ attachments like all of the other loadout weapons. I think it’s really heavily under-used for how good a weapon it actually is. Please tell me I’m not the only one who doesn’t see the point of bringing back the H2 BR (especially since last month we got the classic scope which pretty much brought it back already).
TL;DR - We just got the Classic BR scope last month, and the H2 BR isn’t that different from the H5 one aside from magazine and scope. So why are we getting the H2 BR in this new update?

Alright, but I’ve played Halo since Halo 2, and I understand liking it, but I would never have them waste an update on bringing back a weapon that’s literally in the game already but tweaked a little. It just doesn’t make sense.

How’s it a waste of an update?..That’s one gun in an update with 2 maps 2 other guns and a lot of other reqs…

Well, I don’t know about that. Considering Halo 5’s basically non-existent auto-aim and Halo: CE’s non-existent auto-aim, I think they could make it work pretty well with Halo 5. Don’t know though. I’ve seen bigger screw-ups. Take the addition of the H2 BR for example instead of magnum loadout req options.

“Wasting” an update was probably a bad choice of words. I don’t have a problem with the other things, but the thing is, the scheme they have set up currently is as follows:
Two or three armors
One major REQ item
Two or three lesser REQs
A Warzone map
Two Arena maps
Miscellaneous REQs
By “wasting” I meant wasting the single biggest REQ item in the update. Tbh, I have no problem with the rest of the update.
Apparently the H2BR has a slower time between trigger pulls but a slower fire rate in the bursts (ie the bullets are more spread out instead of essentially being one bullet.)

Really lmao? I honestly didn’t notice anything like that. Like I said, I’ve played since H2 so I’ve played around a lot with the BR, and enjoy it. Not to mention, MCC had the H2 BR which I still play occasionally with my cousin and friends; if I can’t notice something like that hardly, I don’t think it’s that deserving of its own update
This question and “Why does the enemy manage to survive a full speed ghost ram but I die with a minor tap” are probably my two most asked questions about Halo 5… Those and Falcon and Forge World related questions

If i keep getting out BR’d its not gonna stop me from using this amazing weapon.

Now that I think about it, i just realized what he described is legitimately and inferior weapon in all aspects but magazine size. I am honestly baffled at this gun’s re-emergence lmao.

I’ve got to say, ive played since the beginning but i never really wanted the old weapons to be brought forward. Not too sure how many people really wanted older weapons brought in, rather than create new ones.
