We all know the game is broken and turned into a noob-friendly mess. Not to mention the fact that it’s full of glitches and bugs.
“Oh, but they fixedd all these problems already”
• Fixed scripting issues in Regicide
• Fixed exploit locations on Solace
• Fixed KotH on Complex
• Fixed Mantis spawn timer on Meltdown
• Made late joining improvements to Join in Progress in all game types
• Reduced the window for Join in Progress in Slayer game types
• Made improvements to Join in Progress for uneven starts
Oh, they fixed issues that shouldn’t have been in the game to begin with if they hadn’t rushed to beat CODs launch… big deal. They didn’t even fix JIP properly, I have still joined tons of 300 - 50 matches that are a waste of time.
Here are some things 343 hasn’t even ACKNOWLEDGED about the game.
[/li]- How about fixing the kill cam so I actually know how I died instead of showing people shooting at the ground and killing me? (this is the stupidest bug in the game, which proves they didn’t even test it before release)
- How about fixing the fact that games start with 4v1 teams even in objective games, which is the stupidest thing in the world?
- How about taking us back to the matchmaking search instead of starting a game with no opposing team, wasting our time with loadings just to see a “victory” screen and then taking us back to matchmaking anyway?
- HOW ABOUT TAKING COMPLEX (a clearly 16 player map) OUT OF THE 5V5 ROTATION?
- How about changing the spawn points in Abandon so a team doesn’t start on top of the middle base with all the advantage?
- How about making the boltshot actually a CQC weapon not having 1sk from distances even the scattergun (a power weapon) has problems with?
- How about making my shields recharge at a normal rate instead of waiting so -Yoinking!- long that the guy I just killed can run from across the map and one shot me with time to spare? (thanks, instant respawn)
- How about making the guy camping with camo and boltshot become visible when he charges it?
- How about giving the best power weapons once you get your third Ordnance drop in a match instead of giving everyone a freaking rocket/incinerator/binary 30 seconds into the game?
- How about not giving the DMR full map range and accuracy so that people actually have to move to get kills? (I’m not even talking about damage)
- How about the fact that they are punishing us for not paying for the LE and making us wait so long for the specializations, wasting our XP if we play?
- How about the fact that Spartan Ops is just the same thing over and over and over again instead of campaign-like episodes they promised? (Might as well just put firefight in the game)
- How about bringing back the Halo Reach Menus where I could see everyone without having to press x and I could see if someone was in a party?
- How about letting me navigate the in game player list with my right stick to mute people instead of having me hold down back and navigating with the dpad?
Those are just a few of the things 343i has failed to acknowledge, much less fixed, about this incomplete game they sold. ALL WE ASK IS FOR 343 TO SAY “Hey, we know about these issues and will eventually fix them” or at least have the decency to say “-Yoink- you, this is our game and that’s how it’s supposed to be played” so we can stop wasting our time dreaming about having a good game.
I honestly believe they made this game this bad so that when Halo 5 comes out they have things to add to the game and by the time Halo 6 comes out maybe the game will be what it was supposed to be from the beginning. Sadly, as numbers have showed us in less than a month, the Halo population will be much, much smaller by then.
P.S. I’m only talking about the Multiplayer. I still enjoy the Campaign but the mp is just dumb.
Simple, not all games are released perfectly.
You make the game. Test it for bugs and glitches. Fix it Debug. Retest for glitches and bugs. (sometimes they miss alot of bugs and glitches)Fix it Debug. Retest. Release.
Wait for player feedbacks, reports of bugs and glitches. identify, produce solution, apply, debug, retest, release patch.
Not everything are done in a blink of an eye.
Always note this. Not all games are released bug or glitch free
i agree on every single point you have made. not to mention custom games are a joke, forge except for a few new features was way better in reach, and the fact that there is a pathetic amount of playlists to choose from. also whats with them putting out a new map pack 1 month after launch, would it have been to hard to ship it with the game? talk about a money grab. 343 has really dropped the ball on this one, their inexperience is really showing.
Why defend 343:
Because they are working with a completely new engine and this is their first attempt at a brand new game?
Some of these things are miniscule… SOMEONE wasn’t around during the initial days of Halo 2 before the big patch.
People need to relax a little bit. It’s a video game, and like every video game they get patched… they get updates. It’s a little annoying seeing people complain so much, then when 343 starts to fix things people complain even more that it’s not enough. Obviously it is not EVERYTHING people have been begging for. Some of the things you people beg for are ridiculous (Example: BR buff/DMR Nerf). They are working on it, I’m sure there will be another one in the weeks that follow.
But according to 343i Complex is a small-medium sized map. Shoot me

Agreed! This topic should be done after what you said.
It feels pretty obvious that Halo 4 didn’t have the same level of QA Testing games had when Bungie was making them.
It wasn’t a good sign when there wasn’t a public Beta for the game.
Decided to take a glance at your list. While scrolling up from my last post, this is what stood out:
> How about not giving the DMR full map range and accuracy so that people actually have to move to get kills? (I’m not even talking about damage)
I am yet to be in a game where we/I haven’t forced the other team back. We/I push people all over the map. Maybe you should try doing the same?
> agree on every single point you have made. not to mention custom games are a joke, forge except for a few new features was way better in reach, and the fact that there is a pathetic amount of maps to pick from oh but wait i get to buy a new mappack 1 month after the game is released. Not to mention lack of playlists. As you said the shipped a game that wasnt finished.
Consumer side tho, I agree, they had 5 years time frame… should be enough for a great release
They added features, well for a fresh up. They want to be different since they will be the ones who will handle halo franchise now. As much as possible staying original while adding something new
Playlist side, I agree as well, taking off griffball was a big mistake. Although they will add more playlist soon. Just give it time since its only been like a month since release.
With the map packs tho, reason for early release is that, they want to add something fresh, not because they want cash. you wouldnt want to play same map over and over again for a year.

Give 343 a break, this is their first game. No Game is perfect of bugs.
Most of your gripes have nothing to do with glitches or problems with the game, but are largely opinions of balancing and personal interests. Don’t confuse the two.
If you want 343i to fix actual glitches and gamebreaking problems, that’s justified. But if you want 343i to change certain things to make your enjoyment of the game slightly better, it’s not even close to fair to ask that… especially while combining that with legitimate grievances.
None of the previous Halos were perfect on release, all of them had gamebreaking issues and bugs that had been eventually patched or bugs that were just accepted (BxR). You guys are just suffering from nostaligic bias.
Don’t worry, once Halo 5 comes around, everyone will be flaming it and halo 4 will be revered as the best halo in the series

I agree. This is their first. I am amaze that someone like them can follow up what bungie left. in fact, its quite exciting seeing new graphics. Props to them.
Those who complain doesnt know how hard to make a game. If you’re interested in IT and gaming you would know how difficult it is, how stressing it is
lets just be grateful that they extended the halo franchise. what if theres no 343 and no ones interested in making the halo, we would be playing cod all day 24/7
So the TC believes that the game should have 0 glitches, bugs, problems.
It should just be perfect.
You don’t seem to understand how the world works, buddy.
You also weren’t obviously around during Halo 2.
Glitches, map escapes, standbying, Smg starts, and more.
It took time for them to fix it.
This happens in the real world. Things are not always perfect, and it will take some time to improve.
Welcome to the real world.
> But according to 343i Complex is a small-medium sized map. Shoot me
Do you have a link to where they said that? Can you find it?

Public Beta is old school. History. they have people called Game Testers.Dedicated people who would just sit there and find every single glitch and bugs they can find.
The reason why the multiplayer is glitchy, its because they focused on SP. who would want a buggy glitchy Single Player? do you want masterchief extending like a rubber band?
5 year time frame. i know its long. but creating a story line is time consuming. infact a year to create a perfect story. analyzing and re editing. New characters. modelling concept arts. decisions which one is which. creating the maps. the graphics. the sounds… every component of the game is time consuming. they might had 2 or less years developing the multiplayer as like what ive said, they focused on SP. they dont want to ruin the halo franchise.

Totally agree!
Not to mention how many people are so biased against 343 for the simple fact they’re not Bungie. Not to mention behaving as if Bungie would have made this perfectly simply because Bungie was Bungie cough Reach cough.
And of course the fact that so many of the decriers are only talking about is Multi-Player, not the whole package - Halo is as much a Campaign game as a Multi-Player one.
From my very first post, i think I burned the OP to dust and vaccuumed it :D.
Seriously players complains alot. They dont know how complex it is to make a game.
Agree with everything said but I have really high hopes they are going to patch everything. I can think of so many more multiplayer issues other then what you mentioned. http://halocharts.com/2012/chart/dailypeakpopulation/all Halo population on a steady decline due to bugs???
