Why would you make oddball team-based?

No seriously. Who thought it was a good idea to put Team Oddball in matchmaking? The whole point of Oddball is that it’s chaotic. There is a type of thrill of heing lucky courageous enough to grab the ball just for a couple of seconds. F4A Oddball matches can last a long time if everyone is that crazy over the ball.

With Team Oddball, the charm is gone. One guy grabs the ball and his teammates camp the around him while he sits in a corner. Each match has been a JIP because the other team is absolutely dominating. Be the first to grab the ball and you’ve pretty much got the game in the bag, then all your teammates quit on you. Where’s the fun in that? Why does everything have to be a team gamemode? Even Breakout 2.0 is better than this, and that gamemode sucks balls.

Because its been team in every Halo game previously?
I honestly haven’t had one of those matches you mentioned, its been hard-fought back and forth every time. Nades and corpses flying everywhere, streaks with the ball, panicked running.

Want some cheese and crackers with that whine?

That would be nice. It’s sour and subtle.

Of corse F4A oddball is fun but I only remember playing it in halo 3. I always remember oddball being team based. And have only experienced that type of gameplay once.

Yeah I don’t recall any of the other Halos having FFA Oddball, but tbh I didn’t play near as much Reach or 4 as I did 3. I loved it in Halo 3 though and Ninjaball on Snowbound is one of my all-time favorites.

I’ve quite enjoyed the game type. Glad they put it in. I’m not gonna lie though I’ve either had really great games or… not so great.
