Why would they stop making season passes

i do not understand this i like season passes but people say this one is the last one

Because their attention is on Halo: Infinite now. The Collection will still be getting content updates but as it is no longer 343i’s “newest” game, it won’t be receiving as much attention as it has done in the past few years.

They are focusing all of their effort on Infinite. Though it would be nice to have a small team still work on MCC to fix bugs and add small content as well.

See this news item:

To be fair even when Seasons were ongoing the MCC was no where near 343’s newest game.

Yeah, that’s why I used quotation marks. It was far from their newest game, but they were treating it like it was.

yeah i guess they did remake all the older halos

343i didn’t remake any of the older games. All they did was port them and fix bugs.

It wasn’t 343’s “newest title” in 2019 when it started getting updates. 343 just realized more people are interested in MCC than single title games, it’s why Halo 5 support just outright died after 3 years, expect the same for Infinite, MCC is still popular and gaining more players from Infinite every day 343 continues to not make good on their initial promises about Infinite.

Except for Halo 2 Anniversary, 343 remade Halo 2 into that, and I quite enjoy it.

Not really since 343i got Blur studio’s to do the cutscenes for them and the anniversary graphics were built on top of the original game and is not actually a remake since it’s the same game. The only thing they made content for was the Halo 2A multiplayer…which was basically like a different game.

Halo 2 anniversary MP was literally the same as Halo 2’s but upresed with Forge.

Not really. It’s obvious that Halo 2A’s multiplayer is on a different engine to Halo 2 classic multiplayer.

I love how they don’t even bother to mention PC splitscreen anymore, we already knew they couldn’t bother to put up the effort in the first place, or perhaps they don’t even have the knowledge lol

I mean the engine is visually different, but the gameplay is pretty much the same.

Well sort of but so is Doom 16 and the original Doom but there very different games. I think Halo 2A is just a heavily modified version of the Halo 4 engine.

It is, it’s why so many people want Halo 4 content ported to H2A and vice versa

Wishful thinking, but hopefully that’s why H2A and Halo 4 are taking so long for CGB support
