Forge to make a map in downtime and customes to test the map or just look around the map. I know they have dedicated servers but why is this not possible?
I don’t know. They made everything online, and you need a Gold subscription to play everything. The cynic in me says it’s just to force people to buy Xbox live subscriptions.

Because they would put too much strain on your Xbox.
They need dedicated servers for the maps to stay loaded.

Don’t know. But my Internet has been out the past few days for a good part of each day, I wasn’t able to do anything on the game… I don’t see why we can’t even look at our armor, it’s so dumb.

If that were the case I fear for the future of this franchise. Because I’ve seen games that way outscale Halo and work offline… actually I’m sure everyone has, it’s not hard at all unfortunately.
I believe it’s because of the push of MS for the cloud and the the fact Halo 5 uses REQs and MTs (which all works and functions online. That’s why you get a loading sign when you open packs, it’s processing that feature on the servers).
There’s nothing else that Halo 5 does that would require the game to process on a server. All the map loading and physic calculations could easily be done on the xbox itself. The REQ system however. It’s clear that it is not done on the xbox itself (even though it could be if it wasn’t for MTs). When you access the REQs the xbox doesn’t do the work, it reaches online and brings that data back from the servers.
yea it sucks but having xbox gold isnt bad especially when you get discounts on games in the store. I got FIFA16 for like 25 bucks with a free game on the xbox store. Plus all the free games you can download is pretty cool.
As far as games they should be offline also and everything should just sync whenever you connect to online.

Halo has turned into the most social friendly fun game ever into a anti social game. No split screen no features available unless you have xbox live. Really 343? It’s a dumbed down and it can ever be thanks. Ya we can’t even look at our armour without live lol what a joke. Can’t even just check out the maps and scenery. Unreal
