Why wont 343/Microsoft ever

1-Put Halo 2 back online. Full support

2-Put Halo 3/Reach/4 on PC?

I never understood the lack of these options. I can understand not putting Halo:CE on full XBL. Yet why not patch Halo 2 in some way? Or taking a few days to patch up Halo3/Reach/4 for PC use. Better yet maybe even on Steam.

They say they don’t want to divide the player base. Yet it would split it anymore then it will increase it. Look at COD. Nearly every COD game is doing well STILL and there’s more COD games online (and on multiple consoles) then Halo.

So why not add Halo 2 on XBL? It would make money. Even if were only 15%. You can bet your buttox that MANY people would buy it gladly to play Halo 2 online again. Even with the glitches and lack of Clans.

Now I understand the PC port idea is very unlikely. Yet I think we can agree Halo on PC Would be awesome. Just look how good Halo:CE:PC is, 10 years old and still has a pretty good player base and awesome mods. Imagine that with even more options and support.

So. Honestly. Why not add these two. Halo 2 online again would probably make players respect and love 343 more then any Halo 4 patch. As well as bringing in some old school gamers.

Hardware change with taking down Xbox live on the original xbox. I don’t know if you remember when the xbox 360 was first released, there was a lot of anger due to the limits of it’s backwards compatability.

I would assume they don’t have proper net code for an old xbox game and would have to do something similar to a remake like they did with Anniversary.

Now PC ports I’m all with you on, but that’s essentially making two games right there and from what I remember the sales on PC halo titles just weren’t up there. Not including the pirating. As a PC gamer I can still hope though.
