Why will you buy Halo 5: Campaign or Multiplayer?

To me, Halo has always been a campaign game. I started with Halo 2, and every game since then I’ve always completed the campaign before i even touched the multiplayer. However i have a lot of friends who jump right into the multiplayer without touching the campaign. What about you? Are you planning to buy Guardians for the campaign or for the multiplayer?

EDIT: Just to clarify, by buying the game i am assuming you will be playing both eventually, but what I’m asking is what will you be playing FIRST?

Dude, where on earth is the both option?

booth?

bolth

Primarily campaign, but I’d pick the both option

Both

Multiplayer will not have playable elites. So I will not enjoy it in the slightest, the same way I felt about Halo 4.

i don’t doubt the campaign will be great, but Halo 4’s campaign alone was not worth $60 and neither will this be.

lmao this is too funny. “I can’t play as a character model with bigger hitboxes and are easier to kill, HMMPPHFF”

I focus on campaign mostly.

Co-Op Campaign, just like every other Halo game… oh wait… they removed it. Guess I will not buy it then.

Why does customizable armor matter at all? Why does anything regarding how your avatar looks even matter? It’s all about immersion. making you feel like you’re putting a piece of yourself into the game.

Ive been an elite for 11 years. They are one of my favorite fictional species. I love their lore and culture. After all of this investment, I have zero desire to play as a Spartan, much less an IV.

You think of it as an optional skin instead of a Spartan, I think of it as a requirement for me to feel compelled to play at all.

Then again, I wouldn’t expect someone that cares more about a slightly adjusted hitbox than immersive and varied gameplay to understand.

Playing as a Spartan and playing as an Elite are exactly the same aside from the fact that Elite’s can be easier to kill in some scenarios. I understand you wanting customization, but if you’ve been enjoying Halo gameplay for 11 years, it is exactly the same for both units. Saying that you won’t buy b/c no elites really does seem silly since they do not have any different gameplay characteristics. And its a first person game! You can’t even see the Elite until you die. You are right in saying that I will never understand your way of thinking (elite = buy / no elite = no buy)

Campaign definitely. If there’s a co-op mode like Firefight or Spartan Ops, then that’s my second reason. I just don’t do PvP anymore, lost my taste for it (and even then, it was only because I had friends who wanted to to play PvP).

well my main thing is campaign, but warzone is probably going to bring me back to multiplayer.

Come for the campaign, stay for the multiplayer.

BOTH
Because Halo is one of 2 games I can think of that has both a great campaign and multiplayer, Gears is the other.

Campaign has always been first. It’s the reason I came to the franchise and the reason I’ve stayed.

Multiplayer is simply the reason I play so damn much. I love both, but campaign is the first love.

Both. More campaign than multiplayer.

you get both campaign and mp

Maybe all of the game?
