why weren't the guardians used to fight the flood?

if the guardians are so powerful, then why didn’t the forerunners use them instead of the halo array?

The weapons of them are ineffective against the Flood.

the guardians are meant to police galaxy and fight on a galactic scale, they would be ineffective at fighting the flood.

The Guardians use EMP to police the systems, which are ineffective against flood so…

Guardians weren’t designed to fight the Flood. They weren’t even designed for war. They were designed for subjugation. They’re only a threat against circulations that rely heavily on technology.

Granted, during the Forerunner-Flood war, Flood-controlled Foreunner ships were a major threat. However, it’s possible that the Guardians don’t affect Forerunner technology, as the Forerunners designed them to keep other lifeforms in line.

Building off of that, the Flood’s Logic Plague would turn the Guardians against their masters so sending the space owls of doom to fight them would be a terrible idea.
