… was this because in the halo universe the spartan iv’s had replaced them as the best unit in the UNSC or because people from the community lost interest in them because of previous games…
If anyone knows why or speculates why respond.
p.s. I was really disappointed that there was no ODST armor in Halo 4 and I am upset at the substitute … the dreaded recruit armor.
… and no, I am not having an “ERM MEH GERD” moment.
Because we never really saw the main force of the UNSC in H4.
All we got to deal with was the Infinity. And the Infinity carries hundreds of SIV’s on board. Yes, partly made up from ex ODST’s (but I don’t believe the entire ODST rank was upsurped into the Spartan IV program?).
But there really is no need for ODST’s when you got hundreds of something better on board right?
Yeah, I don’t know really, just speculating in storyline terms but maybe they are still deployed on
ops but it’s just that the UNSC didn’t anticipate a need for them on Infinity’s mission. Or they are
now reserve units and the ‘best’ units such as Spartan IVs are more actively deployed.
Either that or they have been amalgamated, the recruit helmet does remind me of the ODST helm a little just more advanced. If that’s the case I personally would have liked to see Buck promoted or someone other than Palmer… they could kick her out of a ship at high altitude if they like. (without a drop pod)
Anyway I also hope they make a comeback in the future.
