I’m sure this topic has been covered over and over but -Yoink!- do i need to let this out!
So i’ll start off by saying that i’ve played a fair bit of -Yoink!- halo. I played all the campaigns of all the games, most of them on legendary. It was the first FPS game i ever played and i loved it.
and here are the reasons i hated halo 4
Firstly the covenant. I mean what were they even trying to do. The halo reach elites were cut throat deadly, stylish mother truckers. They looked amazing and when i first started playing i really learnt to respect their ferocity.
The elites in halo 4 are laughable. For starters most of them appear to be wearing tanktops, i doesn’t feel like i’m a super soldier against incredible odds, its feels like a -Yoink!- horde of lady boy aliens is trying to come on to me! I have no idea what kind of mongoloid would let that elite design fly. I mean i wouldn’t be so angry if they weren’t so useless in combat as well. In all seriousness, I did the campaign on legendary and its still feels like they should be sent to basic training, it seems like the sensible option before they’re thrown in an inclosed room with the single greatest threat to their species. IF i could try to explain this my only guess would be that they ran out of elites, so either they sent a special needs fleet or they started recruiting from the equivalent of an old peoples home!
ok,then there’s the campaign. I’ll start on a good note by saying that the story is solid so the campaign should be epic, i mean the forerunner idea is a very enticing concept. But as it turns out the campaign was a let down. The maps were linear and the enemies were just plain bad. The Promethean knights were ok, i wasn’t thrilled by their design as i usually would be when encountering a new enemy, but rather i was completely impartial. And as i fought more of these, i just got bored. I don’t like robo dogs, don’t even respect them enough to know their names. There isn’t enough amo on the campaign for it to be enjoyable. It almost feels like they stole some of the game designs from crash bandicoot.
As for the main bad guy, the voice acting was solid but i still wonder why space vampire with an oxford accent is doing in a giant floating space -Yoink!-.
I’m not going to go into mulitplayer, i personally thought it was passable even though the sprinting was a bit too familiar, if you know what i mean.
And i’m just mentioning the stuff other people seem to have avoided! I really wanted to like it, and maybe it’s just because i’m too much of a traditional halo player, but i really had great expectations for this game and i was let down, especially after all the hype. Also ign was undoubtedly bribed
