I know it’s a wee bit late but I’m just curious as to why. The orange Grenade Launcher looked complete when we saw it all those years ago, and boy oh boy it looked amazing.
I also don’t understand why the flag skins were cut. I remember 343 saying that they would be released shortly back in 2016 (maybe 2017), but that obviously didn’t happen. I mean come on. I was really looking forward to showing off my red, white, and blue American spirit!
No idea about the Grenade Launcher.
The flag skins, though, were delayed (i.e. never to be released) because of a tragic event that occurred in the US around the time they were slated to be released (during an HCS event, if I remember correctly). It was more than likely deemed “not a good look” to have the American flag, in particular, plastered all over a gun, hence why we never got any of the country flag skins. Mind you, this isn’t the official reason. A specific reason was never given, but given the timing, it was pretty obvious why. Take of that what you will.
I’ll leave it at that as that particular topic resulted in some wildly insensitive remarks (at the time).
While things like that may have looked complete, it’s very likely that it wasn’t and they’re was just no time for them to get it ready and in a build. These things happen from time to time, not everything made gets shipped
about the flags skins is because in some countries is illegal to put the flags in weapons and others things, I think 343 didnt know that, I heard about that Gears of Wars made something similar and they had problems about that, after that 343 decided not to release them.

I mean that makes sense I suppose. Not that I really agree with that particular response to these tragic events but better safe than sorry I suppose.

Yeah you do have a point. I’m no game dev so I’m ignorant on the subject but it looked amazing and worked perfectly fine without any issue. I can’t really imagine what else needed to be done with it. But again I’m no game dev so I don’t know what all goes into making things like that.

Are you sure about that? R6 has several flag skins and Ubisoft has never had an issue.
