I have put 2 days in arena modes and 58 days in warzone and I only paid for 2 $9 AuD req packs and this was when I was already gold pack completed. Buying requisition packs does not advantage you at all and at worse it disadvantages you by changing your queue priority for match making to against people with the same requisitions but higher SR level.
Match making has always been based on requisition and not SR level. A team of 12 SR level 1 who bought the whole req collection will suddenly match SR 144 plus who have everything as oppose to facing bronze pack players.Micro transactions only hurt the player so I cannot understand why people did not like it in Halo 5 and why it’s not in Halo 6 even though it didn’t negatively impact the game. The amount of times I bet gold pack buyers who had not mastered the higher end requisitions or mastered Halo is astounding. It’s pay to lose, not pay to win.
You can get by without paying for it, in fact there are only 2 reasons to buy requisitions back.
- To increase your overload requisitions e.g. Doubling your 50 standard banshees. Won’t affect match making.
- To gear up a new Xbox account which leads to facing the same opponents as your main Xbox account.
Due to this I do not understand why people on Facebook and YouTube continue to spread lies that micro transaction are pay to win and that they negatively impact the game in the same sentence. I wish to know how people can believe that is the case.
The main reason why I dislike the requisition system is its core principles that you can spend real life money in order to get an in game advantage or unlock an item at an earlier point than through normal gameplay. In general, I do prefer if there is a clear separation between the items that can be unlocked from playing the game and can be purchased with real life money.

How did you get you an in game advantage if it makes you face way harder opponents.

Where do you get the idea that you face harder opponents when you have more REQs? Matchmaking does not depend on what REQs you own as that is irrelevant to player skill and connection quality.

It’s been confirmed years ago and teams are balanced around requisitions. Skill level, win record, connection quality come after.

That’s gonna be hard to find, but 58 days in warzone confirms this.
Well I seriously don’t get why we must pay MORE money when we already purchased the game. It may not be pay-to-win in this scenario but the practice is so widespread like in EA Sports games and Battlefront 2 at launch and one of the COD games. It’s understandably agitating.

There is no must, you can get by by playing the game. I got by and I barely spent.

Sorry using ‘must’ was contradictory with the rest of my comment but it still stands that it seems ridiculous to ask for more money after someone already bought your game. That’s why I think many people dislike it.
Couldn’t people just ignore it like I did and mock those who did pay.

Yes but the whole thought behind doing so just harms trust and seems like the devs value money more than experience. Not to mention that as a Teen rated game, they are possibly introducing children to gambling which is considered very unethical in many countries.

If we assume that this is true, you can still benefit from purchasing req packs with real money as you can always guarantee that you have a sufficient amount for each none permanent req card like Phaetons.
I dont like that a basement dweller can spend on their moms credit card and buy enough packs to get a ton of mantises or banshees while i have to dertermine if im gonna waste a ghost card or not in a game.
I’m gonna be super straight forward at the time nobody like them because they were pay to win. If you gave the company money you would get wins more easily. That’s why so many companies have stopped putting them in their games.

Sauce or it didn’t happen.
You are creating an uneven gaming experience based on current financial situation. Those without the available funds are experiencing a different situation in each game. Ultimately like all games you don’t ever need to pay the extra amount. Punishing the less fortunate people, by allowing others to use the rarer vehicles more often, is elitism. People don’t usually like to be at an obvious disadvantage.

How warzone matchmaking works is you won’t face that kind of person, someone else with more requisitions will.

This is at the deep end of the curve when the payer has maybe 25 phaetons and they have the most reds on their team while on the other team priority 1 has 10 phaetons. Yeah the buyer team has 15 more net phaetons but due to how req energy works they will not be able to use such a requisition advantage. And the buyer will likely face different opponents so they won’t have a greater requisition inventory over the same opponents. The buyer also has to know how to use these good requisitions, because if not it will quickly turn against them.
Currently in Halo 5, warzone will try and match 8 gold pack + 4 silver pack completed players against 8 gold pack + 4 silver pack completed. Or realistically everyone is already gold pack completed so they will try and match 12 golds vs 12 golds, and at this point Spartan rank is irrelevant, just as long as you have a high enough requisition pool.
The only time microtransactions were pay to win was the first week of Halo, where buyers would still be able to match against bronze packs. Micro transactions are at worst pay to lose and do nothing to advantage you.
The only time someone with a bloated req pool (they could have infinite requisitions for all I know) can match against regular people and use it is if they work for 343 industries and play warzone turbo and they can pull 7+ phaetons in each consecutive match and they still lost to me in solo queue.

The way matchmaking works is when you pay, you won’t face the same opponents, you get bumped up in the matchmaking queue such that you will match against higher and higher SR players until finally 144. A SR 10 who bought everything will no longer face a SR10 working on bronze packs and will instead face SR144-152 players who have significantly more game time. Your statement is very incorrect.

Dude seriously you are the op what is your source. What you are saying makes no sense and I’m not new here. Clarify with your source since it is the core of your topic. Matching with bronze reqs? What are you talking about?
And are you talking warzone it looks like? What about those that save up reqs? Honestly it seems like you misread something and are just talking nonsense.
Edit:Read this to learn about mmr and how you are actually matched it has nothing to do with reqs.
