So many threads here people trying to get 343’s opinions and see why they did thise or why they didnt do that or just try and get them to hear the communitys view. I think its become evidence enough they they dont even look at these forums. THey dont post in response to any threads, they dont address major issues in the weekly updates. They pretty much care almost 0 about what the community thinks. Look at the new weekly playlist, Team regicide? REALLY? who asked for this, becuase im sure the community didnt. Even though in the years i play halo before bungie would rarely browse the forums they did post they did bring up issues that players had. The same cannot be said here. I guess we will be doomed to play a game that 343 thinks we should play instead of them going off the community and the players feedback.

No one is asking them to live here, just acknowledge what the community has problems with. Weapons spawning in the floor of Haven is a pretty big problem if you ask me. Spawning without a hud and weapon model is something I run into often. There has been no mention of a TU. All they care about is selling the first map pack.

There are people who look through these forums, and an automated system that looks at what people are talking about. However, people have a lot varying opinions. Taking that with their game development experience, the people at 343 have a lot of decisions to make each week, and not everyone’s concerns will be addressed.
However, this is not evidence of 343 not listening. If anything, it shows they care. 343 doesn’t respond directly because doing so wouldn’t do any good and would take too much time that could be spent solving problems.

You must not read the bulletins. 343 provides weekly updates to Halo 4. Not just playlist updates, but addressing glitches and other issues. Let’s look at this past week:

And what’s wrong with that? People don’t get instant fixes to all their issues and assume that means 343 isn’t doing anything. That’s just petty and ignorant.

There is nothing self centered about it. Think about it this way because I see what you re trying to do but you are a bit off.
If you own a restaurant, and you make a dish that turns out say too salty for your dinners, you change your recipe to have less salt after complaints come in that the meal is too salty. You don’t go out to every single person and write them a hand written note saying sorry it was too salty but you do take the complaints under advisement. because it is in your best interest to do so if you want to stay in business.
So if the fan base say didn’t do any complaining whatso ever, just every time they ran into a problem they just vowed to never play the game again and go get a different game. All you would end up with is a small fan base, a buggy game, and a lot less money in your pockets.
We paid money to play a game we bought, these folks don’t have jobs unless we buy the game. So instead of looking to the fan base and thinking oh what a bunch of whiners, why can’t they be happy. I am happy with it. try to look at it from a view outside of your own frame of reference.
For example here a way to show that the fan base in the end is what drives the game.
Team swat stayed in extra week because everyone was enjoying that playlist so much.

Oh no, not THEIR time. How dare we criticize THEM, the DEVELOPERS, the GODS of the game.
They are paid to develop games. They won’t make much money if they make games few people like. Reading the forums benefits them and the community.
You imply the people on the forums don’t matter. They are the ones paying 343 with their purchases of the game, genius.
Why is it developers are always held in such higher regard than the community? Developers work for the community, not the other way around. Your dollar is a vote, blah blah, all that good crap.
