Lots of games do this, but yeah 5 months after?
I won’t watch it because I’m waiting on co-op. But still, is 343 that dry on content they are breaking down campaign stuff before most of us consider the campaign complete?
My opinion on Halo Infinite just keeps getting worse.

It’s nice they have got around to kind of doing a post mortem of a piece of the campaign. But yeah very late in the day.

Although having read the Canon Fodder article I am very concerned how heavily they’re leaning into sympathising with Atriox and the Banished. I thought they were hypocritical scum and got what they deserved. Obviously there’s that scene with Chief and Eshcarum but this feels broader than just that.

Plus, it does very much frame the Banished as being a powerful force in the galaxy. Very much Covenant 2.0 and selling Atriox as a badass; not trying to ground the faction at all as a small pirate group. Very much like the First Order where they came out of nowhere and why do they need a Halo if they can just bombard Earth with their fleet?

I am surprised they’ve confirmed they will go into the consequences of Doisacs destruction. That moment your Rogue Servitor starts next to the Great Khan. :pensive:

Definitely.

One thing I picked up is they referred to the Halo Wars 2 cutscene as the Legend of Atriox. Are they implying that’s not actually how he rose to power? Has he always had that Forerunner AI thing with him?

i’ll be honest i know nothing about HW or HW2

There’s a cutscene where a human AI describes the backstory of Atriox where he leads a rebellion against the Covenant.

I’m calling it now

Infinite 2

Instead of a playable elite

We will get a playable brute!!!

Chief and Atriox fighting as one!

I’d rather have to chew off my own leg than play as a brute, they are seriously the worst species in all of halo

Also, I am confused. A family member ordered the Encyclopaedia for me on Amazon but it’s not due until June. But they’re saying it’s out next week?

The funny thing is they could’ve just copied that same cutscene into infinite pretty much. Its not like halo wars 2 provides a lot of context on the banished either.

If we’re gonna nitpick, can we please not do it for the smallest, most dumbest crap…

This cutscene was out before the game even officially came out, due to press preview videos. I must’ve seen this cutscene a few times already back before the game even came out.

I’m not nitpicking, I’m just asking why they uploaded it today

Is it really that important tho? It was out before the game came out and after the game came out there were even more videos on it. If someone wanted to see the opening cutscene to the Campaign it wouldn’t be hard to find.

This is the most non-issue turned issue I’ve ever seen.

clearly, they put it out as pseudo-content

instead of working on the game they are wasting their time and ours with something that should have been done a week after launch not 5 months later when the community has beaten this scene to death with theories
