Why was the Custom Game Browser released?

It’s clearly not ready. I can’t join any games and keeps timing out. It’s great that new features are getting shipped, but if they don’t work than all that hard work seems like it’s been in vein when we can use them. Seriously, does anything get tested before it’s live or does 343 like the live life in the fast and wing it?

It was released early because 343 wanted to get it into the hands of players sooner rather than later, despite the glaring issues plaguing the feature.

The most annoying issue for me is the join game button. Sometimes it doesn’t take you to the game you clicked on. So, don’t join games with the shortcut button for now.

Yeah I can’t do a single thing with it.

I feel there’s two reasons.

  1. So that people can actually make more use out of forge and enjoy it’s features easier.

  2. To gather data from users experience so they can see what needs to be prioritized first in order to get it running better then doing an internal test and hope it’ll all be smoothed out later when it was originally going to be released.

They should have labeled it a beta, just like forge.

I’ve read that if you can’t join any games, a hard reset of your xbox sometimes helps.

If that doesn’t do anything, then you can try and host a custom game. Supposedly if you start one with other players in your fireteam and get a map loaded then you are able to join other players games afterwords

i like that its out, been having a blast despite the bugs
