Why was Legendary on Halo Reach campaign so easy?

Halo Reach was so easy to complete on Legendary, it almost took no effort at all. When did campaign get so easy? I remember it took me twice as long to complete ODST and Halo 3.

I hope in Halo 4 they ramp up the difficulty.

Also in Halo Reach campaign, I was expect full scale wars but there were none in the game really.

So people could unlock the “A monument to all your sins” achievement easier.

Yeah I can’t believe I actually got monument to all your sins. That was way easier than the other halo’s.

Thanks for the responce, makes sense. The achivement would have been worth more to me if it had been harder to do. The only level that was even remotely hard was the last one.

The reason why it was so easy is the fact that you could skip the majority of the battles, but yeah, I do admit that Halo 3’s was a lot harder than Reach’s.

The reason it was so easy was because, as Vortex Shadows said, you could skip a large portion of the battles, or sit back and pick enemies off from long range without worrying about Jackal snipers.

I think you are just imagining things friend, I do not want a debate so please do not reply with an arguement

I think for that exact reason, Halo 2 was the hardest for me. darn snipers! ><

still i didnt really have much of any trouble with halo 3 legendary either except for a few parts. I’m looking at you “Cortana” lvl

I still think that ODST is the easiest on Legendary. Especially solo.

a lot of shortcuts. Halo ce and 2 had better gameplay of campaigns because there were shortcuts, but not game breaking shortcuts.
Halo 3 was just stupidly easy.

I think they made the default Legendary easier so you could crank up the difficulty with the Skulls and have a shot at beating a mission.

Because maybe due to poor map design, that you can skip many parts within Reach’s Campaign levels?

I mean the amount of non glitched shortcuts in Reach is staggering. It’s good for speed running though it makes defending the militia group on Nightfall (and fighting the enemies) a bit pointless, or skipping most of areas you are supposed to investigate on Winter Contingency. That’s just a few examples :stuck_out_tongue:

I enjoyed the Campaign but i don’t remember being able to skip an entire level by design in the past Halos. :stuck_out_tongue:

ODST on Legendary was fairly easy as well as long as you knew where to go in “Mombasa Streets” it wasn’t to bad.

As for Reach’s campaign the only one I saw difficult was The Pillar Of Autumn.

Reach on Legendary isn’t all that easy if you play it without skipping any battles. I did it solo legendary before people knew about all the skips and tricks that make the campaign way easier, so it was far from an easy achievement.

It’s definitely a lot easier now though.

All the the halo games were easy, the only hard ones were halo 2 and ce.
