Why was Halo 4 the first to do this?

So we all know that Halo 4 was the first game to actually have weapons placed on their backs the right way. It was almost correct in the Halo 3 Beta, where the rifle was placed upside down across the left side of the soldier. In Halo 3 and Reach, they had the weapon across the left shoulder, which is almost too much for the soldier to do just to switch. Then, we jump to Halo 4, and BAM! The weapons are in the right spot on the back.
Not saying this is bad but it is good, but does anyone know why it was just implemented into Halo 4?
*Note- Halo CE and 2 were not mentioned because the weapons didn’t appear on Spartan’s or Elite’s backs in those games

I would assume a combination of more attention to detail on the part of 343 and it was probably easier to do on a better graphics engine.

I’m guessing. Most likely the attention to detail.

343 really does do a great job with a lot of little things like that.

However…

I wish that attention to detail would be applied to attend to the the achievements that have been glitched for nearly a year.

Amen to that.

I’ve never noticed that
