Very excited for the forge update but the lack of a menu to search for forge creations of random people makes the whole update seem useless.
Where does one go to, to find the creations of the community? Plus how does one download these creations easily without having to follow the person that made the creation.
So confused why this has been left out…
There is a way to “share” with the community. In the menu of Halo 5, if you press the X button, you’ll get up your fireteam/friend’s list/recent players. If you go over a person’s profile and press A, you’ll find something call “File Browser” where you can look into people’s Map Variants and Game Mode Variants, both bookmarked and their own files. In this way, you’re able to see other players maps and game modes and bookmark them, putting them into your bookmarked files for you to play. However, seeing as it is not a “File Share” where you get to select which maps to show, all of your maps/game modes are shown in the “Files” section. To specify which one you want the community to see, put up a post with your GT (so they can add you) and then the file(s) name(s) to “share” it
EDIT: Preferably post it in the “Community Creations” sections of the Forums so it doesn’t get taken down by moderators.
Yeah its a pain but folks are getting the word out on their maps. Ive found great versions of chiron 34 beaver creek guardian and blood gulch. Plus the new stuff they have been making. This forge seems great pther then the pain in the butt way to get the maps.

Wow, looks like I need to find all those maps then, because those are some of my favorite maps. Time to start the search.
Reddit has a great community for forged maps at reddit.com/forgeinnitiative
Or try forgehub, I’ve found a few there with
grabbing.
Finally, waypoint’s very own community creation board is another great place to look.

He/she should be able to find them in your bookmarks. I’m saying “should” because I have yet to find a person in my friend’s list that has actually bookmarked a map >.<
It clearly stated that the current file share would be basic as they will be working on upgrading it in the future.

Lol me either. Hope that works to make it a little easier.
Because they had no business pressure to make a complete update, let alone a complete game. They know the community will just apologize for them and accept mediocrity with open arms - because don’t worry, 343 is working hard!
The gaming community as a whole needs to recognize this truth if they want gaming to get better. Businesses don’t spend money unless it’s out of fear of losing more than they’d spend.

QFT. Of course, the worst part is that they’ve got us by the short-hairs. Where else are you going to go for the Halo experience? The MCC?

Spot on. Also, Reach had a file search, so there should be no excuse for not having something that was done 5 years ago

Even Halo 3 had an online one at Bungie.net that interacted directly with your Xbox 360. So you could go as far to say we had this functionality 8 years ago.

Yup. It’s a conundrum. I want to play Halo but I don’t want to support the only sub-par company that houses it. Unfortunately, we have community leaders famous on YouTube that outright promote the stupid black-and-white mentality of “Don’t like it? Get out.” Looks like this problem will have to drag itself out for quite a long time before Halo dies or it gets fixed.
